Hi WimVDD, a little late to the party after you seem to have met a resolve but I'm all for a yellow colnago. It certainly looks lovely to me. The only downside I have experienced with repainting is the then urge to keep it perfect and from experience that has drawn a sudden halt to riding for fear of just a tiny chip to the new gleaming finish. I would keep it just as it is, it looks fab then yes get that record groupset you have and nice chrome forks. At least it'll be finished nice and quickly/cheaply then you can ride it whilst deliberating your next frame purchase to build something else!

Very nice indeed Flandria. Beautiful classic look with all the modern benefits. It must be a joy to ride although judging by the condition and the gleaming white bar tape you're either a compulsive cleaner or only ride indoors! You should be as proud to show it off here as we are pleased to view it. BTW do you have a Flandria? I love their Colnagoesque Columbus SL and the carbons have a beautiful classic look about them too

I think the price is fair. I bought a re-sprayed Super that was pretty mint for £340 and also a very tatty Super 91 for £160 but spent £170 having it sprayed and decals etc so cost around the same. I'm constantly scanning eBay/RetroBike/Gumtree and here of course for the next 'Bargain' but there appears to be very few real bargains around. If I wanted it yes I would buy it for £350 but if it's a compromise in colour or size then I'd hold out until the right one came along.

Thanks for the id check saarf. I wasn't aware exactly what it was, I bought the frame ready sprayed so any clues to its model already gone. Really liking the black and chrome combo too which is why I chose 7900. Put ultegra grey on first but it looked a bit 'odd' and busy. Now I have an ultegra group set and a kidney to sell!

Right this is the last build I plan on doing this year (especially now I'm flat broke) and I plan to ride this everyday it doesn't rain. A super with dura 7900 and magic r-sys wheelset. Really gonna enjoy the classic frame with modern group. Not sure on whether to go with a 17deg stem yet but the ride position as is suits me well so may keep it looking a bit 'upwards' looking for comfort over aesthetics. Will post some better pictures later.

Lovely bike indeed. I missed out buying it, the very same one on eBay a couple of months back. There were some road bars and stem included too with the eBay sale.
Still GLWS but please obey the rules as they make LFGSS a great place to trade.
