I'm no longer contemplating 650b but I recently acquired a new rear hub (dt350), I need to decide which rim to go. The plain and simple me point to r470db but who knows !
And I need to decide on handlebar, tried 46cm zipp Xplor but too wide to my taste although the drop are comfy. I like my zipp sl-88, would love same geo with a little more outsweep in the drop.

I wouldn't say "noticeably". On an average wheel, you will save what, 60 maybe 100gr.
Even if it's rotationnal mass I don't think it will really matter.
PS : I'm not a racer, I run 1x everywhere :)

As I have time these days, I clean my bikes and finishes some projects.

First one, the tandem, after a fresh paint, it as been rebuilt with most of its original parts. I build a new front hoops in 26" to match the rear rohloff one which is shared with the bullitt :

After that I showed some love to my solo rig. Cleaned it piece by piece with full reagrease. As the weather get better, I fall again on putting some big chunky tire on it. But with some much time, I got a little crazy and shaved a little my racing ralph (about 100gr) so that they fit way better and roll amazing well. My only concern is about the mudgards, I do like to have them all year round but here they don't fit. I'm thinking cutting a pair and zip tying ... Will see.

Oula it's not that nice ! It's a "cheap" mtb frame. I bought it a few years ago in a more fitness config (flat bar 700c). Was good but as the frame is originaly attended for 26" wheels, the bb shell was a little too high. And I prefer road handlebar.

Not that far for now, we are hoping using it as wedding vehicle.

In store they have more choice in plate sizes. I paid mine less than 20€.

Here is an update of my bullitt showed a few page back.

I added light front and rear on dynamo. And we made the sides panel and the floor.

The floor is some 5mm waterproof resin, very light the two plates weight about 1kg.

I adapted a car isofix base (made for isofix and/or belt attachment) and straped it.

Very cool to make a ride with the little one which was also happy !

Thanks for the idea, I allready buyed a second hand isofix base which can be fixed by the belt or the isofix system.

I did this too on a bush&muller, I think my connectors were smallers but works very well since 2 years all weather!

Yeah I saw that. Look good and cheap. A little less pro than a wood box which is maybe too much for only one child.
