Smart looking bike :). Emperor Sport frames usually had a frame number beginning with the year of manufacture... 77 for 1977 etc.

Replica usually means taking a frame from lower down the Raleigh range (8806 for example) and and dressing it as a Team / SBDU so the finished bike looks exactly like a true facsimile.

I thought it was :). I've been watching the auction as it's a great looking frame with geometry that should make for a sprightly ride :D think of a 70's TT frame which is my era, Just a tad too much......

Is it still available? I have a cherished Kevin Sayles TT frame from the mid 70's which might need a more modern stablemate.

Is one side of the rear hub for a freewheel? It has no reverse thread for a locking?

The Simplex Prestige mech would be for 5-6 rear and the front would handle the usual 52/42 chainring combo.
