Allegedly it is perfectly possible to take bicycles on ‘regional’ trains in Italy so I will keep digging as I really would like to not have to pack the bike up or box it up.
The service from Ventimiglia to Turin via Cuneo use two regional trains so things should be OK, at least in theory.
I will report back with progress. -

New years resolution is to make some space and move on stuff that I do not use.
So first up is a 3-ride-old Condor Fratello Disc, size 55cm, in the purple (or dark blue) colour way.
I bought this brand new last year, just at the start of the summer for a credit card tour from South to North France. Like so many of these things, it never happened (just because I hurt my knee) and I have ridden it exactly 3 times since buying it.
It is absolutely like new condition, strategically heli-taped here and there so you can be sure it is pristine.
I normally ride a 56cm and this is the equivalent Condor size at 55cm. The next jump in their sizing is 58cm and it is like a farm gate.
The bike has Shimano Ultegra hydro levers/shifters and brake disc calipers, the chainset and mechs are Shimano 105.
The wheels are Kinesis CX3 disc wheels, so reasonably light but strong enough for light touring.
Proper SKS mudguards are fitted.
I am looking for £1350 for this beautiful, like new bike. I am in East Kent but can easily meet up.
Here is a photo and a link to the rest of the photos. Don't be concerned with the blemish on the drive-side crank arm, it is only the heli-tape that has been rubbed by my boot.

I bought this from Evans earlier in the year and just haven’t ridden it anything like as much as I thought I would. I can’t break the habit of just jumping onto my SuperSix for some reason.
Needless to say it is in fantastic condition, everything is perfect, just as you would expect from a rarely ridden bike.
It is a 56 with full Ultegra hydro disc groupset. It cost me a smidge over three grand, so how about £2300.
Please note, pedals, saddle bag, bottles, light, computer and mount are not included. Sorry.

My spring clearout continues and being as it gets no use I am selling an Airnimal Joey Explore, drop bar version.
Full Spec is here,
http://airnimal.eu/products/joey/explore-drop/#.WMa1yGZvgdUBut basically it is a folding bike for people who like road bikes. It has the chunkier wheels, mudguards, a rear rack and the commuter kit fitted.
These are great bikes and I bought it on a whim but have used it a few times, and only then just to be different.
These are about £1600 new so I reckon half price at £795 seems reasonable, I hope you agree :)
Condition is really good, it hasn't been crashed or abused and any potential buyer will not be disappointed by the ride or the condition.
Here are some pics,
The bike (and me) are down on the coast in Broadstairs, and whilst I really don't want to post this, a meet-up is certainly an option.

For sale are my Zipp 303 Firecrest tubular wheels.
I bought these new from Probikekit about 3-4 years ago. They are just like new and have covered maybe 100 miles.
I used them for a handful of mountain TTs and hill climbs and nothing else, but my time for tubulars is over.
These wheels have not even been out on our piss-poor British roads, they have only ever been used on the smooth tarmac of the Alps and Dolomites.
Their condition is just stunning and just by looking at them you can see how little use they have had.
I can name every time they have been used and here is the list,
- Hill climb on Mont Laurent Jalabert. Ascent and descent.
- Mont Ventoux TT. Ascent only.
- Mortirolo hill climb. Ascent and descent.
- Monte Zoncolan hill climb. Ascent only.
- Grossglockner TT. Ascent only.
- Kitzbuheler Horn TT. Ascent and descent.
They are Shimano 10-speed but luckily I have a customer that are precision engineers and they milled off 1.2mm from the base of the freehub so that you can just squeeze an 11-speed cassette on - which is what I have always run them with.
I want £650 for the pair, you will not be disappointed, these wheels are crazy light, have awesome acceleration and are really just like new.
Obviously they have only been used with Zipp cork pads, just look at the brake surface, it is unmarked.
Standard Zipp skewers are not pictured but are included and both tubs are included (and are like new).I would not really like to post, much nicer to meet up so you can inspect them, I'm in Kent.

I'm a little sketchy on sizing because I only ride road bikes and I built this using flat bars.
I normally ride a 56cm in Cannondale and a large in Look and this never really felt too big or small, but please don't take my word, check out the Surly geometry on their website.
Weird looking though, these things look smaller than they are.

For sale is my Surly Straggler frame. I bought it new last year to build into a light touring rig and built it up with a Rohloff hub. Turns out that I just cannot get on with flat bars (pretty much a must with the Rohloff shifter) so I have dismantled it and could do with making some room.
It has done about 600 miles I reckon, and there are two things wrong with it.
- The Surly badge on the front is starting to come off (actually it was like this from new), this is shown in one of the pics towards the end.
- I initially installed just too wide a tyre in the back and have rubbed off two spots of paintwork on the drive-side chainstay, again shown in picture at the end. Just needs a little touch-up, the areas are tiny and only cosmetic.
It comes with 125mm of steerer and there is heli-tape applied here and there to prevent any cable rub.
I am asking £230 and am in Kent. Thank you.

For what it is worth, it seems to me after a bit more digging that the Ventimiglia-Savona-Torino option is slightly better because it offers a higher frequency of available departures and connections than the route via Cuneo. The Cuneo option is quicker though, if that matters to anyone.
