Bumped into @Mick on his lovely orange BMW and pootled down Oxford Street together a few days ago

The shed clearout continues with this awesome wheelset.
Historic wheelset that circumnavigated the continent of Australia.
Still amazingly true and never had a single broken spoke. Incredible wheelbuild!
£666 ONO£599 ONO
58mm deep with a rim profile that I believe is about 28mm outside-to-outside at the brake track and buldges slightly to 30mm at the widest point. They're silly chunky - in a good way. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on these dimensions!)
700c clincher. Can be run tubeless.
20 spokes front, 24 spokes rear. Radial front, 2x rear. Alternating black / silver pattern.
Fixed/fixed rear hub - which came in very handy on headwind days.
They come with some 23mm Contiental Gatorskins which have awesome flush profile with the rim - they come out closer to 25mm on the wide rim bead. I can't recall actually riding anywhere once I put these tyres on so they are new - or effectively new.
Also included is a quick-release skewer for the front wheel, 17 tooth aluminium cog (could switch out for a different size if required) chunky lockring.
The rims are in decent condition for the distances they have done. Obviously have some dirt and grime and a few little marks here and there which could probably be sorted with some elbow grease. The rear wheel does have an annoying surface mark that goes almost the whole way round on one side (photo included). I think was from it momentarily rubbing on something as it span. Not sure if it could just be polished out with a soft cloth. To the touch, it's unnoticeable. Purely cosmetic.
The spoke nipples are stainless steel and they have built-up a fair bit of corrosion with time. I haven't looked into methods for cleaning this up.
Any questions, please let me know.
Pick-up in Leytonstone, East London. May post at extra cost to buyer.
Please send a DM if interested.
Would preferably sell as a set but may consider splitting.
Thanks,
Joseph -

Condition is pretty much like-new but for a light scratch (pictured).
Novatec fixed/free hub.
32 spoke.
120mm hub spacing.
90mm deep.
22mm wide outside-to-outside at brake track.
700c clincher.£169.
Pick-up from Leytonstone, East London. Could possibly post at extra cost.
Please send a DM.
Offers welcomed, especially as I can't remember how much I bought this for so might have pricing way off.
Cheers,

I'm not as fast as him, or can sleep as little as him though! But yes, that's why I think it will be hard to 'top' this ride, just down to how spur of the moment it was, there was just this gravity and momentum behind it. I have some other ideas, maybe even a theme that I can carry over and do in different countries.
Norway would be interesting, would need to time it right though to not freeze! Maybe it's a warm winter...

Yesterday in 2018, I rolled into Perth after solo circumnavigating Australia on a fixed gear bike. It was the wildest experience of my life. The craziest thing was that I didn't even intend to do a loop when I first started riding. I was racing in the Indian Pacific Wheel Race - a 5,500km sprint from Perth to Sydney. However, I just felt so inspired, free and had so much momentum behind me that I just kept rolling.
I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to top this. Yeah, maybe I could do an adventure which is even longer but I don't think it would have the same impact that this did. It was just such a unique mission and my first truly big escapade. Although I do have some ideas floating around my head...
