Just done some reading about it. Looks like something to do with using significantly larger ball bearings so they are less likely to wear and fail? or take longer to do so.

This is what I think also. Spoke to the guy that sold me it today and he said the cups went all the way in to his 68mm shell, so it must be the case. Thanks for your help guys

how can you tell? A friend of mine gave to me a while back and just said it was Italian threaded as he couldn't thread it into his British threaded shell. I'll be honest, I didn't think to check.

It's time to have a clear out. I bought some of these parts for a project I was working on before taking it to pieces and building a bike just to get to work on, which was far less exciting. Some of these parts I've just accumulated. This now means that due to my want for great looking parts I have a tonne of either brand new or hardly used bits in great condition for you guys to buy. I'm not that keen to sell them as some of them are pretty tasty, so I don't mind waiting to get what I'd like for them or there abouts.
