We haven’t as during the first couple weeks on one day we waited an hour to feed him and he threw up bile, probably out of hunger.
He is mega treat-oriented so he recalls for high value for a while but then gets hyper and bitey.
He slept a few hours this morning since getting back but unsure if he’ll allow me this afternoon on the training course (mon-fri).
Went from this, to barking.

Link doesn’t work but yea, definitely no exercise straight after eating.
He’s currently on Natural Instinct Working Dog. Possibly part of the problem, that he’s getting too much good energy from the food and not enough outlet.
The last two months we waited an hour after eating just to walk him. Wake up at 07:00 and fed, walked no earlier than 08:30 but often 09:00.
As of last week with the recall/“running” to us, we do that an hour after breakfast. That should be enough time as it’s an enforced rest & digest from 07:00-08:30.

Yea nah slips have a place.
All I mean is I’ve seen enough dog owners fail to grab a collar on their own dogs who aren’t even misbehaving. In the heat of the moment it could be difficult to go lasso a frantic aggressive dog.
If you can safely grab it (by scruff, or collar, or ….*) and then get the slip over its head you are onto a winner.
*you and I probably could fill this blank.

If you are going to throw a slip line on someone else’s dog, whilst trying to catch it, whilst it may be fully aggressing another dog…. Good luck.
That’s a lot of speed and movement while you are under stress.
Any stress situation relies on muscle memory. The more practice at catching the dog, getting a loop over a moving head, the more chance of success in the moment.

The worst that can happen is it redirects his aggression toward the water /you... I wonder if you are happy with that.
There are supersoaker type things that are battery powered. I would consider something like that if nothing else because it's easy to carry and might give enough momentary distraction. But I would definitely consider things like the peppermint type options that leave the dog thinking "yuck" more than "ouch".

Rather than a kick, can you possibly carry something incredibly unpleasant but not lethal?
So, at the risk of scaring other dogs a foghorn in a can might be too much, but some kind of snap-caps or loud horn or even use a dog whistle to break the attention (if possible).
I’d ideally want to give the two dogs space at 100yd on-lead, and move them closer each time the cunt is calm. Try to break the cycle of insta-kill. If it’s not reinforced and made safe, I’d definitely try some kind of water-based deterrent to shock but not injure the cunt.

Hmm yea I’d say that sounds about right.
Anyway that Pachislo got sold on. I did every broken trace I could find, and had all other continuity, but could only get 2 of 3 reels going. Something maybe a cap was no good, and I ran out of interest. Sold it for what it cost me to a guy who works for a company that does electronics so I guess he’ll rip out all the repairs and do it properly.
At some point I’ll find the other projects at mum and dad’s that I piled up for a rainy day. This damn rescue dog has killed me, not a moment to myself for nearly 2 months now.
