I went from a selection of Subarus (inc an H6 Outback) to a Passat Alltrack - loved the DSG and the quality of the interior, 170bhp TDi was great and still had the extra ride height and rough road ability and great boot space, towed my rally car like it wasn't there.

First Golf mods:

• R rear spoiler fins (mostly to keep the rear window clean)
  
• Skoda Yeti exhaust trims (same as the VW part, but cheaper)

Well, adding a BOV won't damage the engine specifically but it is an EJ20 so it's only a matter of time anyway

The subaru branded 4 pots are great brakes, we run them on most of our classic subaru rally cars - and some of those are making ~340bhp at the crank on a VF30 with a restrictor

If yours are like that, they almost definitely need a bleed / fluid change and pads

I noticed that the mk7 BMT version turns off the middle two cylinders when in eco mode on a flat road, which is probably why the mk6 isn't quite as good in that sense

See how you go with them - a lot of the issues people seem to complain about it flex but sometimes that can be traced back to the uprights, see how you go with things like pad knock etc
