My Spaniel will resource guard against other dogs - the boot of the car, me, a toy, etc.
She doesn't guard toys or things I want to take off her though, we did specific training around food guarding at home from the day we got her.
Inherently spaniel type breed dogs always want to trade - they have this bizarre sense of justice too where they think they did the work so they deserve a "wage"

What specifically do you mean by the heater was playing up, but now was working again? was it blowing cold constantly despite the engine being up to temperature?
I had an issue with one of ours where the coolant system had got a significant airlock in it, and after I ran the car to temperature with the heater turned up to the max and the system burped a load of air, it started blowing warm air in the car again

I think the driver for changing to pull rod is to do with 3/4 rule changes, bigger wheels and the rule around having all the mounting points inside the wheel, and there's a rule about the angle the nose in the footwell has to slope, which basically means there is less room for push rod to be practical.

I think I have five? pairs of Randonee shorts.
One navy pair is probably 4 or 5yrs old, they don't wear the same as canvas on a saddle, they have piled slightly in the inseam though from the it though. I've killed multiple pairs of Levis in under a year before (since they discontinued the commuter ones).

Generally I’d say the top tier brands are Pirelli, Michelin and Continental
Just Below that are brands like Bridgestone, Goodyear and Dunlop.
And then there are a whole heap of more budget brands like Toyo, Kumho etc before you get to China specials.
Can you find out what it had fitted from the factory? You can likely get an equivalent

Yeah that's not unreasonable, it depends on the age and history of the car though - I was shitting myself thinking the Passat I bought would need a timing belt at 60k but a lot of the VW stuff has long life servicing now and it won't need one for nearly double that.
I guess you do have to factor in things going wrong - we needed to replace the rear pads in it after my wife driving it for a year, to which the service manager asked me "Who is she, Ken Block?"

Here’s one I saw rolling around Parsons Green in 2014
