are you using an SI expander? if so you don't need to run a spacer on top

If not, i have this same issue on my Synapse, where the 5mm spacer is slightly wider than the top cap.

I've had it in storage at my parents house just outside the lake district, I live in Surbiton so progress is somewhat sporadic to say the least!

New welding setup means there is minimal progress on my polo shell.

I have managed to plug weld some old holes in the strut tops, stitch them in and seam stitch both chassis legs.

I need to order some steel sheet in to fabricate the rest of the gussets that need to go in the front end, and i'll be getting a load of bits laser cut too.

Some of the welds aren't the prettiest, but thats partly due to there being boat loads of seam sealer thats nearly impossible to remove.

Will do more at Christmas when i'm next back home.

Probably one of the reasons i don't use my IBG more is the lack of arms. Even with merino arm warmers, unless i have a long sleeve jersey on too my arms are frozen

I had a few friends with Lupo Sports, they were cool.

I have tried to buy a GTI on a few occasions but anything that's unmolested is slightly barmy money wise now.

I'd go Bedford too -I took my friends Carrera C2 to Bedford and Woodbridge.

Both were good, it rained a lot at Woodbridge which gave us chance to do some sliding about with no real risk of hitting anything but Bedford is a much nicer surface and less aggressive on tyres in the dry
