I bought it almost completely unused from my best mate, did around 500 miles on it (a failed attempt at John o'Groats to Land's End with my wife) - unfortunately, it's M/L size and therefore a tad too big for me. It's been sitting in a garage for the last year and a bit gathering dust - decided to clean it up over the last two days (chainrings and freewheel taken apart and cleaned, derailleur taken apart, cleaned and oiled, all cables oiled and one replalced, new bar tape) and pass it on to somebody who will get some joy out of it.
It's a Sora-based, all specs can be seen here. Small upgrades are unused pedals with toe clips (can replace for more beaten-up PD-M520s if you prefer) and the indestructible Marathon Pluses - they have 500 miles on them, in perfect condition.
See the photos below. It's been hanging in the garage of my father in law - hence a few scratches here and there on the frame. Nothing major and photos clearly show what's what. Some rust on a few bolts and calipers - again, nothing detracting from the performance.
The bike runs very well - just finished adjusting gears and brakes.
Pick up from WC1N. Price: £260 (donation to LFGSS included)

My wife rides a crappy Carrera road bike on her daily commute. It sports an Tourney/Altus front/rear mech, and when clean and freshly tuned, it runs pretty smoothly for what it is.
Her daily commute now involves a train journey - not really an issue, but it's one of those where you leave your bike leaning against the door and, every other journey, you hear fall over and, the chainset has an unsurprsing tendency to drop the chain whenever it happens.
There is lots wrong with it, as we haven't cleaned it for a while - I'm replacing the old chain and giving it a proper clean and adjustments tomorrow. I think it will improve things (the chain is visibly stretched and doesn't sit on the chainring well), but I want a better solution longer-term.
Should I:
- Improve the chainset from the wealth of forum-provided options?
- Switch to a single chainring?
The riding is pretty flat (London and Cambridge), so there is no real need for a front shifter, so I'm leaning to the second option - but then I have no idea how to best go about it. Top priority is to stop chain from dropping.
Ideas?

I had my good old Condor Pista stolen over the weekend. While grieving and hectically refreshing Ebay/Gumtree, I need to start looking for a worthy replacement. I will consider anything of 54/56 size and fixed, have preference for dropped handlebars and both breaks. Particularly keen on getting another Condor - unless (or, in fact, especially if) you try to sell me my own.
Budget: flexible - wouldn't want to spend more than £300, but if you have something of good value for more, do tell.

I had a Condor Pista stolen in Bloomsbury (side street of Gray's Inn Road). Standard build as on the pic attached except on Gatorskins and Shimano SPDs. I haven't ridden it since Friday - it could have happened any day since. Please keep an eye out - it was easily the most reliable friend I've ever had... Thank you!

@JT Thank you - this is the kind of thing I'm after, but you're right that it doesn't look strong enough for a panier. Has anyone seen anything that is of similar built but at least shorter? That would make it less prone to twisting...
@Scilly.Suffolk Understood. I guess I was also surprised nobody had replied - but then there may not be a a problem-solving reply to my problem... Regardless, lesson learned.

So there was something wrong with the last setup - it kept displaying 0 views until I closed it... So here it is again:
I'm looking to fix a Tortec Velocity rack on my Condor Pista frame. Before buying the rack I was smart enough to check I need a pair of P-clips but, having never installed a rack before, I completely missed out on the fact that there is another issue in fixing at the bottom.
Now that the rack is here, I realise that my rear dropout does not have anything to fix it to and I need some advice - what's the most effective solution?
I see there are things like Tubus QR Adapter that have been discussed at length elsewhere in LFGSS, but the obvious issue here is my standard bolt-on hub...
Any ideas?

I attach a pic of my rear dropout - any help would be most appreciated...

I'm trying to prepare my fixie for the winter. I've had it for 4 years and bought it second hand (from first owner, not used much). It's 6 y.o. altogether. I have previously replaced and/or fixed all sorts of small bits that have worn off, but this is the first time I have an issue with the chainset etc., so I thought asking a crowd of specialists is a good idea. The issue is as follows:
- when I crank hard, I get heavy cracking sounds from the chainset - it seems to always be the same spot, but every OTHER revolution of the pedals
- when I tension the chain properly, I get PLENTY of resistance in the system - so I can still go places, but it's noticeably harder
Yesterday I spent most day cleaning the chain, the chainring and the sprocket. Now all shiny and lubed up, the sounds are still there, only a little clearer. So I wonder whether I should:
- Replace the chain - this is clearly overdue and I can SEE it doesn't fit the chainring as well as it should - although it NEVER slips or anything like that
- Replace the chainring/chainset
- Replace the sprocket
- Learn how to measure the chainline and make sure this is aligned (despite that this is still the original Condor setup and should therefore be OK?)
- Replace the bottom bracket
Any ideas on what combination of the above I should start with? If any photos would be helpful, pls let me know.
Thanks in advance for all shared wisdom!
