Besides the Haza del Lino I dont think we did many really named climbs as such. It was great though, views to the Mediterranean one side and to snow capped mountains on the other side. At the top there was a nice restaurant/cafe in a good spot just before it heads back downhill.
Sorry to say I didnt eat out much at all and no drinks, I dont think you can go wrong for routes around there as just even riding in the valleys or on roads through the little villages on the hills was nice. That site looks like it has a few nice routes around Orgiva

I just got back last weekend from a few days riding around the Alpujurras, was based in Cadiar (on an organised cycle tour by Vamos Cycling - think someone here on LFGSS recommended them and now I would recommend them). I agree with @tmevans riding around the area is fantastic, road surface great, scenery amazing and one 80km ride saw all of about 15 cars.

Been meaning to say thanks for the help with routes, ended up riding from Seascale back to Natland. Went your laney route and catching the ferry in the middle of a ride was something new, roads were great, not much traffic at all. Your recommendation of Chesters by the River was amazing, I couldnt believe it was all vegan. I stayed at Fox Hall vegan B&B which was really nice actually.
Epic area to ride a bike!

Sportful Hot Pack Easylight Jacket
- White
- Small (more like an extra small, I normally take small jersey/jacket in most brands Castelli, Santini and this is a bit too tight and short)
- Good condition except for the end bit on the zipper tab has snapped off, zipper still works absolutely fine
- Water resistant, not waterproof
- Packs away super small

Amazing, thanks I'm definitely going to check that cafe out no matter which way I go.
I'll be doing this section on a Friday, I'd prefer quiet and dont mind a little bit longer route (though this is first of 4 consecutive riding days so dont want to go too crazy first day).Doing the ferry seems like something that one should take the chance to do while up there.
I mapped this out quickly as a possibility, if you have any thoughts/changes you'd suggest, I'd much appreciate it. Might stick to less climbing after having done Hardknott and Wrynose, haha -
I'm heading up that way at start of July to do the St Bees - Robins Hood Bay Coast to Coast (https://www.komoot.com/tour/242847581). Staying south of Kendal for first two nights (will train it to St Bees on first day for the start).
After @damitamit mentioned a vegan cafe (thanks for that), I am now considering the ferry. But any opinions/advice on going south to Hawkshead after Wrynose Pass and using the ferry then towards Kendal? Or just stick north of Lake Windermere?

Vittoria Corsa Control Graphene 2.0
- 700x25mm
- Black/Tan
- 300kms
- one or two tiny black smudges from when I was mounting them (see photos), havent cleaned them.
Had to buy these when I went home to Aus for a couple of weeks earlier on in the year. Did a few rides on them totalling 300kms and brought them back thinking I would use them but realistically too narrow for my Ritchey Swiss Cross.
£55 posted for the pair
***NOW SOLD - 700x25mm

Yeah definitely Mt Nebo, never done the full loop like @LWaB suggested, sounds epic and will have to do that when I'm back there.
Brookfield has a couple of nice roads, take Western Freeway bikepath and jump off at moggill rd and head out through kenmore, then brookfield. Upper Brookfield Rd to the end and back, then add Gold Creek Rd to the end and back. Can go Gap Creek Rd and connect up to Mt Nebo Rd - So do Brookfield and then Mt Nebo. -

Great pictures! What are you holding in the last one?
Really thinking about doing this route this summer, trying to work out 2 days or 3 (see how much time off work I can get). How was getting the train down? And like the question previously, would 2 days take the fun out of it (too much to see)? YHA's are my choice too so trying to get them to line up as well for stops. -

Just tried them on and definitely arent compression tight on me, in fact give them another couple of wears and I daresay they might not be tight enough for me.
They are pretty stretchy, but dont want to definitely say they will be fine for a medium! For reference I am usually a small in bib shorts/tights (182cm height and weigh around 65kg to give you an idea). Hope that helps
Oh and opening at top (when laid flat) is 18cm and 9cm at the bottom

Ahh, yeah staffies/staffie crosses are great,
I think contacting different rescues and registering with them would help as sometimes the puppies dont even make it to the websites as so many people are in your position looking for puppies because of kids or potential kids. The fact that they want that 8 week old puppy to rehomed semi-rurally and perhaps with a calm male dog, makes you think that they are a nervous/anxious dog and excitable kids would make that worse

All Dogs Matter have some spaniel cross puppies
https://alldogsmatter.co.uk/rehome/meet-our-dogs/Dogs trust have some puppies as well
https://www.dogstrust.org.ukSpanish import puppies!
https://galgosdelsol.org/adoptables/pups-teens/I would think a lot of other rescues have puppies with the way things are going (and probably will over the next while)

did you get any further with your planning? Just started looking at a trip to get both Montenegro and Albania in, thinking the Trans Dinarica: Accursed Mountain Circuit but would like to add Durmitor National Park (sounds like a lot of others love that area).
Trying to see if I can get there and back from London by train without losing a week in travelling too :(
