In my experience working at a few charities it really is remarkable how much the behaviours of people shape the organisation. People can get away with toxic behaviours because they can hide behind the moral values of a cause or a lack of accountability due to the pressures everyone is working under. And to balance out there are lots of dedicated staff with personal connections to the cause that are brilliant and really inspiring so the charity sector is like any other industry in that respect.

My partner works for the charity and I’ve also worked in health charities in the past in a marketing function. Everything @E11_FTW chimes with my own experiences and I’m aware there were a lot of internal comms and briefings to staff including support/delivery teams ahead of the campaign and during some of the backlash. It’s definitely one of the more controversial ones but the Society does seem to be getting a lot of profile and cut through which then brings in the £££ but also awareness of the condition/opening up conversations and press coverage on research as well as living with or caring for someone affected. see the partnership with the FA for example.

Anyone want a pair of barely used pre full metal fenders, 30mm? Am 100% confident people are getting ready to fit skinny tyres in time for winter.
They did ok on the audax today but not quite enough clearance so was slight tyre rub after picking up some mud on the 28s so looking to get the road plus size.

Tbf they are working at a Blockbuster exhibition that helps sustain a culture sector on its knees due to austerity and covid. The anxiety would be if they had to cancel or close the exhibition, manage refunds and comms to booked tickets etc.
And would you be chill if part of your job was to look after a priceless work of art and that happened in front of you? Not sure I’d react calmly despite knowing about the glass.
[not having a go btw, just worked in museum sector for 15yrs so feel for the staff team]
