I did Lyon > Paris > London 2 weeks ago. Got bike in bag for tgv then cycled to gare du nord and put full bike on Eurostar.
On the Lyon platform look out for signs that will tell you where to stand to get on your carriage. Means you can stand in the right spot and save time jumping the bike along the platform. Also, Eurodespatch office is far down the service platform at gare du nord and not clear where to find it with the improvement works happening. It's on the ground floor, far left and just keep walking.

Spent a week cycling from Paris to Lyon with a bunch of strangers. Did around 600km in total. First time I'd ever ridden for more than two consecutive days. Managed a 10km climb and more, which I never thought I'd be able to dom The french countryside was beautiful. Lucked out with blue skies each day at a max 30°C. Camping in forests or hosted by some wonderful people who let us into their homes.
Roughly the route washttps://ridewithgps.com/routes/21084461
And

And was all to raise money for a refugee shelter in Athens (will be selling some gear in classifieds.) Five of the crew are cycling onto Athens, arriving in 5 weeks time. Check the project out at http://www.thighsofsteel.com

Just booked bike on Eurostar via Eurodespatch. Didn't get through via phone so emailed them and got a response almost immediately. They were really helpful and friendly. Have got the last place for a bike that doesn't need to be pack down. I'll be getting a train from Lyon with bike in a bag then changing at Paris so will have to reassemble the bike before putting on the Eurostar. Does mean i get to ride it away from kings cross though.

Lea Valley to Cambridge today following the trusted lfgss route. Lovely weather and nice quiet lanes. Managed to snap my bank card in two but it still worked so i could buy a train ticket at cambridge station. First proper ride since early March. Need get fitter, lose some pounds and ride more as I'm doing Chase the Sun in June. Managed to smash the 100km Strava Gran Fando by 8 metres by doing 15mins of laps in the train station car park. 8/10 would ride again.
