I'm still at the denial phase, but glibbly, as I'm not the one at personal risk, there must be something to be done?

Does this Act mean that 'small' or independent forums, websites or whatever will no longer be able to operate without a compliance team behind them?

I suspect though that whilst actually managing the risk would be achievable, litigation risk would mean the forum becomes too financially bursensome? One solution might be to stick lufguss into a ltd co, giving at least a little bit of personal protection to the owner/directors, but I get that you might not want to give up control.

Not that anyone asked for my opinion, but is this a case of 2014 lufguss versus 2024 lufguss? Not in terms of posters, but general attitude? Lots of us have moved out of London, done other things and there isn't QUITE the same sense of community? Maybe? I don't know.

(Obviously I'm not a prolific poster, mainly because of social anxiety, so probably not worth tarring all less frequent posters with the same brush - lfgss is genuinely one of my main go-tos online).

Is anyone riding consistently with navigation via smartphone only? If so, RWGPS? Anything else out there? I've been dabbling with Osmand, but not sure it records rides? I have a wahoo, which is great, but for lazy touring where I'd like to see more POIs (shops, mainly) on a bigger/better screen, I wonder if a quadlock and an app is the way to go?

If so, I presume a power bank and airplane mode is the way to go?

(Obviously I could just experiment myself but (a) phone mounts are the expensive and (b) I'm lazy.)

I stopped using Zwift ago because of their extortionate pricing. It's now dark(er) and cold(er), so reluctantly will be getting back on the turbo.

I have an Elemnt head unit. Where can I find free workouts that I can then load on to the head unit so that I can control the trainer from the unit?

I've looked at Trainer Road and Training Days, but the functionality seems limited unless you pay. I basically want a repository of workout files, nothing more, but not sure if that exists?

I'm looking for a flat bar appropriate do it all frameset. Think Trek 520 if we're going 'classic'.

Open to most things really, but would like mudguard and rack mounts. Decent tyre clearance (700c I guess). Medium/54cm would do nicely.

Use cases are - 3/4 day semi-loaded tours, long days out etc.

I guess this is the crux of my question - am I missing out on enjoying the absolute best coffee because I don't have the 'best'/most expensive setup, or am I simply being envious and in reality we're all just chasing diminishing returns?

Simply put - how many people could really tell the difference between a shot pulled on my Classic versus a Decent?

I read stuff like this and wonder if I just don't have a particularly sensitive palate (and/or whether upgrading any of my kit would ever be worth). I honestly don't think I would notice more 'effervescence' in a shot, but don't know if I'm kidding myself (out of spending money i don't have on chasing 'x')?

Is this a me thing? Or are some people naturally able/better at distinguishing the flavour profiles for burr set 'x' to 'y'?

Note - not knocking this poster at all. Just using them as an interesting foil to my taste range, which seems to go as far as sweet/sour/bitter/fruity/woody etc (basic B coffee tasting?!)

BMW E91 replacement head units... Worth doing? I'd like Android Auto/better navigation, better mapping, Bluetooth music etc. Is there a 'go to' replacement? Any install vids/tips?
