They're 650 x 47c Terrence Elwoods. They clear the chainstays with maybe 5mm each side so I didn't have to modify them.

Not much mud clearance, but it hasn't been an issue so far

I've also got an old Escapade which has had most of the modifications you've mentioned. Can confirm that it's not light, but with 650b wheels and a nice wide cockpit it will handle anything you throw at it.

Just had a look and seem to have (hopefully) fixed the problem.

It looks like the worn pads meant that the actuation arm was cycling too far through its travel. After I wound the pads in manually with the 3mm adjusters on the side and released cable tension from the actuation arm it now seems to be working normally again.

I still don't know if I entirely trust it, but at least it's working

I've been using these brakes without an issue for about a year, so I don't think it's been disassembled in the past.

I suspect that the pads being worn down might have allowed the actuation arm to over-extend, even with the rotor in place.

Will update if I manage to find a cause.

@Hulsroy Would it be alright if I pay now to lock in a place but confirm measurements in a few weeks? Got a bike fit planned in and want to wait for those results.

I haven't had a chance to look at mine yet, kind of nervous about what I'm going to find.

I'm also trying to work out if I want to repair it. Knowing that it can fail like this makes me a bit unsure. This summer is going to be spent touring, and I don't want to risk it failing when I'm in the middle of nowhere.

Futurum does seem the cheapest, I've found a few other ones around Amsterdam that are between €150 and €200. I just don't know whether they're worth the extra money.

Does anyone have any recommendations for bike fits in or around Amsterdam? I've found a few places that do them locally, but don't really know how to choose one.

In that case I assume the brake wouldn't work at all? Mine is still working, it's just the piston that seems to slip back at the end of the stroke. Might have to get the LBS to have a look. Thanks!

Based off that I've got the Version 2 caliper. Do you know what the issues were with the version 1?

I didn't buy them new, so am not sure how old they are. Would there be any code on the caliper that I could refer to?

It's a full length housing from the lever to the caliper and I can't see it slipping anywhere, unless it might be slipping inside the lever body?

The cable also returns to proper tension when I release the lever.

Does anyone have any experience with TRP Spyres crunching/clicking/slipping when applying lots of pressure to the lever? It feels to me like the piston is slipping at the end of the throw.

Thanks! It is the original fork with added eyelets. I don't know why cotic add eyelets as standard, it makes the bike so much more practical

Any suggestions for 26" mixed terrain tyres? Looking for something similar to the terrene elwood that I'm using on my bike.

Getting the Cotic ready for a big tour this summer. Added a rack from @togas and have a tubus Tara on the way as well. Happy with how it's coming along, even if the rack isn't sitting quite right yet.
