Been making some incremental changes on the Kona with a Works Components angleset, some SLX brakes from my old mountain bike and tubeless. Nothing too drastic but adds up to make the bike feel that much more comfortable.
Also discovered a crack at the top of the seatstay of my old mountain bike so that's being properly retired. Was interesting to have it out and see how geo has changed in the last 10 years.

After almost a year of not managing to get this stem and my bike in the same place we finally have a result. Will probably paint it properly in the future but for now I've thrown on some clearcoat and called it a day.
Thanks to @Hulsroy and stayer cycles for making this happen!

With the move back to New Zealand and mountains on my doorstep I figured the Cotic could do with a reprieve.
Enter, the first complete bike I've bought this decade. Have a few longterm plans for it including an angleset and new brakes, but in the meantime it's just good to be riding mountain bikes again!

Been having issues with my knee for the last few months but it finally seems to be getting better. Celebrated by cycling the Molesworth muster which is 180km of gravel through the center of the South Island.
Might have been a bit ambitious but managed to get through without too much damage. Bike performed fantastically, definitely feeling justified in moving to full bike packing gear.

Refreshed my old commuter bike that's been sitting at my parents for the last 5 years.
It's an old Healing 10-speed that got stripped and converted to fixed years ago. Since being back I've changed the cranks to a much more knee friendly 42t, as well as some big old cruiser bars that came off my girlfriends Peugeot. Keeping an eye out for a Wald basket for the front and then I'm calling it done.

Went for a NYE mission into the mountains. Beautiful trails and got to try out new packing arrangements on both bikes.
Unfortunately packed too light and forgot some essentials while bringing a bunch of stuff we didn't really need. Regardless a generally nice and not too traumatic time was had by all and we're looking forward to getting out more!

Naively agreed to rebuild my brothers bike for Christmas. No good before pictures but suffice to say he hasn't looked after it.
Long story short; It's since been repainted and everything has been stripped, degreased and rebuilt. Levers are too low because he insists that he prefers it that way, but otherwise it's running lovely. Even with Campy drivetrain and Shimano wheels and cassette.

Just moved back to NZ with the Cotic. Got extra bottle cage bosses added to seatstays and the bottom of the downtube. Also got the chainstays crimped, so should comfortably fit a 650x50.
Funds are limited so it's probably going to stay like this for the next wee while. Plans going forward are to replace the current stem, replace tyres with tubeless g-ones and eventually get an sp dynamo and lights.
