Still in my garage. Well worth considering either of these as I don’t own any rubbish. I have a graphite coloured rim to match the back wheel on the Allin.
Merry Christmas, stay safe, I hope this virus makes us all consider our frail nature and need of a saviour. He is the Lord Jesus Christ. The bible tells us where we came from, what to do and where we are going. The best selling and least read book!
Jesus is the reason for the season and the year we live in. If your feeling low or down ask Him in to your life and gain the best friend, who will never leave or forsake you. If your feeling great ask Him in to your life and thank him for the blessings you have in your life, much joy is to be had.
Believe me this is greater than the biggest haul of new old stock campag vintage or a barn full of Bugatti type 35 and Maserati historic racing cars. Or free mansion houses. Gifted to you. They will all fade away, what ever floats your boat or you could dream of.
There are loads of problems with the church and plenty of reasons why you, your parents or grand parents stopped going. We hopped around to avoid the splits and nutters.
I watch youtube sermons from Reigate Baptist Church, Banstead community Church and on Facebook Oasis Elim church in Napier Nz, all very good. While churches have been limited to online viewing. -
If anyone wants the De Ver frame 120£ takes it. The brake set etc will be up for grabs once the frame has sold.
Allin / Cliff Shrubb was built for a guy who worked at Allin Cycles, he knew Cliff built the better frames so he got Cliff to build his frame. It’s Columbus SL. I need to measure but sure it’s a 57 cm. I will let this go for £450. The group is either Athena or Chorus. Sup rims on campag hubs. I’ll have a better look at it by the weekend. -
@Skülly So this is a Cliff Shrubb built Allin, if you zoom in on the drop out join to fork or rear triangle you will note that the braze is not domed, rather cut back to the fork blade and rear Stays. This was how Cliff finished his frames. If the Butler is finished like this then Cliff built it. This one has a nice history. I may sell it.

The stays are thicker than average road stays. Thus making it ideal for a strong sprinter back in the day.
I looked up a bit about De Ver and the Australian who opened the shop learnt to build frames and may have built some, however when I enquired about whether they had any decals left over, which they didn’t the guy said that Roberts had built most of the frames. Quite amazing how many frame builders were in the Croydon area back in the day. I have Allins, Cliff Shrubbs and this is kind of like having a Roberts and a de Ver. -

This is on sprint rims, so tubular tyres, which are not in great condition. Nice mix of period quality parts. Campag Gran Sport brakes and hubs, sun tour gear set with nice aero gear levers. Cinelli bars and 1a stem. Ofmega chainset. Paint original but pretty tatty. Lovely details, lug work, bottom bracket is slotted and track rear stays, this is a rigid strong frame, assume Reynolds 531, no decal is shown. Having spoken to De Ver they confirmed that Roberts built the frames.
I may have some ma2 rims to go with it if you wanted to re spoke the hubs onto clinchers.£285.00 collect Reigate.
Would split up if enough interest. Prefer to sell complete.

So we will be putting our place up for sale in the next 6 weeks as we are applying for planning permission on another building. Our place is 3 bed semi with off street parking and 2 garages, small garden. It’s a neat tidy early 70s in the same road as Reigate station. Great schools close to the amazing green spaces and surrey Hills. If you have had enough of London and are selling up it’s worth a look. My neighbours place is for sale for £445k ours will be a bit more. If interested let me know. Mums house has gone under offer now. I can direct to neighbours details. Which are with Lewis and white, Reigate

Yes the skate park is popular! Good green spaces, plenty of mountain biking Fab old pubs, great schools. It was The place to be in the 80s and 90s as a teenager (400 under age drinkers at the Skimington castle On a Friday and Saturday night ! )
My Australian wife is more than happy to be here after 22 years away from NSW. -
So what’s going on with the London housing market? I’m in Reigate and we had our house up for sale last year but Brexit held things up, so we pulled it off and stayed here.
My mother’s house is now for sale (In Reigate) as she died and my father wants the house sold as he lives in Devon. The house is a fantastic 1930s detached place In a close with large terraced garden 2 drive ways, 11 m Long carport and single garage. 1 mile walk to Redhill and Reigate stations all for under 800k. Very close to the m25, Surrey hills so quite marvellous. Too much for us to consider but if your wanting to get out of London and need to commute Reigate is hard to beat. -

I did pm did you sell this happy to take it. A tip if you have the kit is a map gas torch, very quick to heat the steerer if you cut the stem and remove the forks, then heat the steerer tube and spry wd40 down around the stuck bit, do this a few times, be near a vice or good vice grips, stick the stem in the vice and twist the forks, not too hard but just enough to make some movement, repeat this until the stem is out. Or whack it with a drift from the of the fork steerer. Remove the wedge from the bottom first. This method has worked for many projects. A quick heat on the pedal threads then wd40 or plus gas will get the pedals moving, just turn them the correct direction!

Oh yes! It rolls along so well, I had the components waiting for something special to hang on other than the c record ergo levers and a few other parts. Very happy.
I rode it on Sunday evening out to the Surrey Oaks at Newdigate, just for an early evening ride and it transfers power to the road etc superbly.
I have a lot of nice frames built up and this is right up there with the Battaglin world champion, maybe nicer. -

Nope it’s still intact.
A couple of hours after this pic my mother passed away suddenly last Sunday night. Very peacefully and had been apparently well until that moment. We had been with her after church and she had fed our kids as she usually did when I was doing stuff at her place.
The Lord called her and she wasn’t coming back.Loving the bike, with the sidi shoes I have raised the seat pin.
I have a 62 cm Raleigh, quite light being 531, 27” wheels, cut down bars, I bought it for a bloke who had his bike break this week but it’s too big, happy to sell the frame, 80 complete, a good base, has a few small dings here and there but for a hack / big beater it’s fine. Will need going over. I’m in Surrey
