I took part in the Silverstone 9-up TTT last night, was a lot of fun, never ridden 9-up before, found it much more like a road race than a TT trying to maintain the pace line. I had to ride fixed as my road bike was stolen when my garage was burgled last week. This was not ideal it turned out. Still, 5 of us got over the line and I was one of them so I'm happy with that.

Had fun at the Rhino Road Race in Rutland, good coffee and cake goes down well at the end of a wet 60 mile RR. Shame we couldn't use the counter, but the clubhouse is ace. Sorry about the sepia and that; well intetioned family photographer.
Love the graphics, thanks @big_daddy_wayne

Ah cheers, yes we're really happy with the branding, he's such an amazing talent, full of great advice too.
We've got our first event on Sunday, a cat 2/3/4 road race with the HQ in a proper bricks and mortar clubhouse so it's a good opportunity to check it all works smoothly and to see what the demand is like. If it's as cold as this weekend we should be onto a winner.

Cross posted from CP, sorry.
Wish I'd taken comprehensive pics of this as a project, but I do go at these things like a cow at a gate.
I've built a coffee cart with a view to targeting cycling events. Modified the bike (dont worry the disc and bars were damaged in a crash), built the counter and restored the espresso machine.

^looking great.
I've been tucking my head in which takes some getting used to - blurry vision, then last Thursday I had my extensions rotating round the bars which made me fear for my life, sorted that, now this week had the whole assembly rotating in the stem clamp. Some assembly paste needed there, seconds lost fearing for my life again.
12th / 60 overall but 20 secs down on 3 days ago. Down-geared for the wind, lost out on a 2 mile downhill before the turn I reckon.

^3 1/2 hour drive and you rode home? Good resolve.
Looks like Tuesday will be my first test in strong wind, 2 X out and back, North - south with a 45mph southerly wind. Do I gear for the tailwind and struggle into the headwind or risk spinning out on the northern legs? Any advice appreciated. In the absence of wind I would have geared for a low 23'00" at 90rpm - 52x14.

This wasn't terribly practical, but it was good fun. Tow bike to race, win race, tow bike home, chicken dinner.
