Any tips for overcoming what I think is achilles tendonitis?
This started summer 2019 when I was trying to improve my 5k time, started noticing the pain as I upped the pace and then at the end of August I ran the Serpentine 5k (21:11) and was hobbling after the finish line.
Didn't run for ages and gradually picked it back up again at the start of lockdown, I changed shoes from Nike Pegasus 33s to Nike React Infinity and these seemed to be a game changer; felt a bit slower but infinitely more comfortable and no sign of achilles pain. Kept running on and off through the summer, never really doing more than 2-3 runs a week and total of 20-25kms per week. Fast forward to a month ago and the pain is back. Hillier route around Greenwich Park probably has something to do with it.
Anyway, I've been doing calf raises (both straight and bent leg) and plenty of calf, hamstring and quad stretches. Not really sure if there's anything else I should be doing?

Apparently there's a way you can sideload Zwift on it but it's sub-optimal, not looked into it yet. I've found the classes pretty good so far and the Mrs is getting just as much use out of it as I am.
Hardcore roadies are clearly not their target demographic, but some of the climb and power zone classes are pretty tough.
The power meter on the bike+ is apparently pretty accurate so it'll be interesting to see what kind of progress I make on my FTP over the next few months.

Got a Peloton Bike+ a few weeks ago, couldn't find a dedicated Peloton thread so started one here:

Anyone else got one? Questions?

Yeah you could definitely get a sweet set up for the money and a Wahoo Kickr with the Climb thing would have been my preferred option... but that would have zero appeal for the Mrs, she enjoyed the odd spin class at the gym but by no means a cyclist. I suspect turning our spare room into my own personal pain cave would have got me kicked to the kerb.

Anyone got one of these? I tried searching for an existing thread but 'Peloton' doesn't really narrow it down and a few other searches brought up the square root of nought. Anyway, I got one a few weeks ago and chucked it in the spare room; I've done about 7-8 sessions and so far, so good. Mrs Gonzo is really getting into it.
Anyone else have one? Thoughts, questions, abuse for buying into the Peloton cult... all welcome!
Mods - If there's already a thread on this I couldn't find it, so please link me and delete this if necessary.

I've booked in a few session at Lee Valley next month to get back on the boards after being away for quite a few years. The drop-in accredited sessions will continue to run under Stage 2 rules, but I had an Endurance SQT session booked as well and this was cancelled, however I managed to change it to another drop-in session. No idea why one type of session can run and not the other though.

Leisurely one on Saturday from Greenwich to West Malling, excellent ride apart from two punctures near the end in very quick succession. The decision to not take a mini pump and only a single 16g Co2 cartridge was, in hindsight, sub-optimal. The CAAD12 is not exactly suited to winter rides but its the only geared bike I have so it'll have to do; I shall spend an excessive amount of time this week looking at mudguard options...

And that's a wrap with 500.8km. Of course the final ride today had to be wet and miserable.
Shout out to @Arvy. for dragging me around for 140km on Sunday 👊🏼 -
@amey - you missed a bit of cyclocross action just outside Birchington!
Up to 454kms, no time tomorrow but will go for a gentle spin on Tuesday to finish it off. -

Cheers @Tenderloin and @jackc. I'll see how I get on over the course of the next 6 weeks or so and if no meaningful progress then it'll be physio time.
