Just pulled the old 1st gen iPad Air out and it turns out it is now so old I can't get Iplayer to work on it, I have one of those keyboards that attaches so something newer that works with that is ideal, not bothered what colour or if its scruffy as long as the battery life and screen are OK.

I don’t doubt its mechanically good, just feels like if you want maximum ££ for it it should at least be clean. Its awesome and a rare thing. Give it a clean, take some more pictures and list the size and spec and you’ll have more willing buyers I’m sure.

Catalogue says 54.5 TT is the smallest size they did, it's too long for me, and too expensive IMO, and needs a clean.... Super cool though, GLWS

Maybe, perhaps they just look good in photos, and that house was destined to be photographed a lot. They are a sort of 'homeliness/comfort' signifier, maybe it offsets the exposed concrete and sharp edges, at least the house generally looks like someone lives there rather than the high end staged TMH aesthetic ("please remove televisions for the photographs").

Saw that place on Open house day as I'm fairly local, looks great IRL and does fit nicely on that street (which I'd like to live on). I like the material palette, but also can't see why you'd have multiple fires you shouldn't be using, guess Architects gonna Architect.

Thanks, bought the Katto, liked the company/philosophy and that they are Uk based, loved the look of it (important) and if you sign up you get free sharpening which appeals if I can ever be arsed to send it back.

Going to make a little magnetic ply square to match the kitchen so it can be on display, but out of the knife drawer. Was tempted to have ‘do not put me in the dishwasher’ engraved on it.

Decided I should treat myself and replace my poorly looked-after, rather bashed 25 year old Global knife I use daily. Settled on a Santoku as the shape works for my mostly veg based prep and I like to be able to scoop up off the board with it (and I have a flexible skinning knife already for fish).

Guess I'm happy to pay @ £100, but thought with the dreaded, ugh, 'Black Friday' I may be able to get a bit more for my budget - has anyone any leads on places offering BF deals? I don't really want to sign up to 25 webshop email campaigns to hear. And any general recommendations? Think I am going tp avoid carbon steel as it also won't be looked after terribly well I imagine.

Never seen a ladybird without any obvious spots before.

I’m sure if you ask nicely most places would give you the offcuts, or even make them into specific sized things, the cost seems to be in the material and the fitting IME. I asked for a mm specced plank of our worktop to be made into a window sill from the offcut and they were even happy to install it.

Would have, took me an age to find a suitable pink toilet when we redid ours, had to settle for something more peach in the end.
