Groupset sold. Any interest in the finishing kit or saddle before they go off to eBay?

Clearing out some parts:

1. Shimano Ultegra 6800 groupset. 172.5mm 53/39 crankset, braze on front mech. Not in the greatest cosmetic condition but all works as it should. Left shifter is a 105 5800 series one, but this is not noticeable in use. £sold

I’ve picked up an old Brompton (T6, I believe)

How easy would it be to change to a lower S or mid-rise bar? I presume I’d need to replace or shorten the cables?

Also, any other worthwhile modifications to consider to modernise it slightly?

That does seem to be a common site of failure that’s been reported, both in the most recent frames and also the Palace R.

I’m not really too sure what to make of it. Undoubtedly the manufacturing is poor, but has someone also cut up something like a CAAD13 for comparison? Also there presumably is a significant amount of selection and reporting bias with regards to these cracked frames.

In any case, I’ll be keeping a close eye on my Weald, and if it cracks I’ll be getting on the waiting list for a Strael or Mason Definition.

Do you still have your Palace 3 from a few pages back? Looked like a sweet bike.

Not quite, I was trying to find out whether the bracket that attaches the mudguard itself to the U shaped stay allows you to change the angle at which it attaches before you bolt it down,

On the Pelago guards, Is the angle between the stay and mudguard fixed on the front or can you adjust it before you screw the bracket down?

My fork mudguard mounting point is half way up the fork. On my PDWs you can pivot the stays on the mounting bracket, which saves having to bend them, but I don’t want to splash out on another PDW for the commuter!

Might be sorted for a set of lights now.
Also looking for a eccentric BB for a BSA frame. Eg. Trickstuff, Phil wood or Firstcomponents.

Anyone know where I buy or bodge some kind of replacement heel pads for my Bont Vapours? Mine melted and fell off when I put the shoes in the oven!

Just picked up a Mojito 3 to replace my original Mojito and first impressions are positive. But, I’ve got a large and very round Asian head, and Kask seem to be the only brand that fit me properly (have also recently tried the POC Octal, Bell Zephyr and various Giros, all of which were too tight on the sides. I don’t know if people with more oval heads find that Kasks are a bit too round?

What’s the current consensus on the best front camera?

I’ve been mostly ambivalent towards a camera but after a very unpleasant close pass today on the club run I think I’d like to at least run one camera for recording these incidents and sending them to the police etc.

The Fly12 looks like a reasonable option but it sounds like it’s a bit overpriced with supply issues?

It’s going in a threaded BB shell so my understanding was the standard Praxis M30 BB was the one?

In any case, ive sourced some arms and a BB, but am still looking for a SRAM direct mount 40T ring!
