I've had a few sketchy moments. I'm mostly carrying decorating stuff & paint, never had "valuable" cargo tho!
First time I went over was just taking a corner too fast in the wet
Second time, also on a corner. The ladder I had on top of the cargo box must have shifted a bit & stopped me from turning handlebars (won't make that mistake again)
Scariest moment was the bike sliding out from under me as I took a busy roundabout slowly. There was a thin mud slurry from a building site nearby that was like ice. -

also, back wheel has now developed a slightly worrying noise. Sounds a bit like dodgy barings. Happens when not peddling too. Might be time to replace the dreaded Enviolo

good call - I had to rebuild the back wheel a couple of years ago so it's my fault. Now... can I be arsed to take the wheel out again?

Finally got round to changing the back tyre on my UA. Still some wear left on it but reckoned better safe than sorry - it's done about 4,000 miles (front tyre did 8,000!)
So got the wheel out to find brake rotor has two missing bolts and three of the four remaining ones were loose! Bit scary. Is one supposed to use threadlock? -

Hmm, i need to replace my front tyre on UA. Original Big Ben has lasted over 8000 miles.

Didn't know that. There's no room to move wheel forward without tyre rubbing on mudguard but could probably have moved it back to tighten the chain. Anyway the chain tensioner works really well

Vertical dropout - no forward adjustment at all. Could be the chain thry replaced (original one) was better quality than the new one. Anyway, I'll try & remember to check the chain wear regularly & replace it with my usual KMC Z100 or whatever it's called these days

Wow!
A few months ago bike shop replaced the chain on my UA. Two weeks later & the chain was dragging on the front plastic gearbox cover. I tried removing a chain link but then it was too short, so I've now fitted a chain tensioner which works just fine! Has anyone else on here had this issue?

Interesting but I've used one to cut off a neighbours (rather expensive Abus) padlock on his workshop - cut through very easily

Well, diamond blades are cheap & easily available these days. I'm sure they're the preferred choice

Anyone else with Bosch CX found virtually no difference between "Sports" and "Turbo" power settings? I'm pretty sure there used to be a definite gradation but there isn't now. Wondering whether it's possible that a software update done a few months ago was the cause?
