So, saw Lemonheads last year, and Evan Dando looked like he was holding things together, apparently now married and living in Brazil or somesuch and off the gear. Saw him solo last night, guy is an utter fucking casualty - utterly shambolic, losing his way in songs, forgetting words, just clearly off his head. At one stage he spent a few minutes making a crap paper airplane out of what might have been a setlist. Was with a friend who's another unfortunate drug addict, and he couldn't believe Dando was on the stage in that state (altho tbf Dando didn't disappear three-quarters of the way through the gig to score like my mate did). Real shame.

So, why should the colonials still be bending the knee, precisely? At the time the British invaded India, the Mughal Empire had roughly a third of the world's economic wealth. When the British left, it was about 0.5%. During the Raj, there were regular famines, killing tens of millions, including one just before Indian independence, all exacerbated by corrupt/exploitative/inhumane British misrule; since independence, there have been none.
But, railways and cricket...

Puerto Rico is garbage for one.
...and Pennsylvania has a massive PR population. It would be hilarious if this race rally cost Trump one of the most-prized swing states.
Mind you, I'm clutching at any straw because I'm getting the fear about this election. Midsummer, I honestly thought that once the Dems had put in a non-senile head, and Trump kept being Trump, only angrier at being beaten by a Black woman, voters would incrementally start edging away from the howling extremists. Honestly expected she'd win by 5-6%, so clearly even the fixed election nonsense claims wouldn't get any purchase. Not seeing that now.
Went in August and the nurse messed up with the needle, so I wasn't able to donate. Then I booked for last week and they cancelled it by email when I was on my way to the centre. Why does nobody want my cherished elite AB- blood?
