Nicely bought, good colour too. My FIL needed a new motor so I was drafted in to help and he ended up with a very similar Partner. I had always respected them, but seeing all the storage cubbies and the space relative to the length really mad me want one.
They make great bike luggers and offer great value compared to most vans which have had a hard working life. Lots of them, seem to lack cruise control which would be a deal breaker for me.

My right Potenza shifter seems to have a lazy return. It'll shift down no problem, but the last 3 shifts going up won't happen unless i put some pressure on the back of the mechanism in the shifter. I tried adding a washer in there, but no use. Is it the return spring at fault and if so can i replace/adjust it?

I've got a very similar Golf estate on a 59 plate except mine's done 212k miles (bought at 208k). They like to do miles and mine drives perfectly and as said the engines are very robust. DMFs and DPFs are the big concerns although DPFs can be cleaned fairly inexpensively these days. The good thing about a big mile car is that it only cost me £645 so it doesn't matter if it goes pop.
I was pretty anti VAG before this, but it's a great motorway car with plenty of space and absurd economy (60+mpg average)

Oh, it's all an opinion, much like you simply saying "incorrect", I just thought it was worth mentioning that's another route to go. Two-finger lever was all they came with when I got mine, glad to hear they're properly one finger now. I cracked the lever body at the hose connection in a crash so my fault, but I've definitely had Shimano and Hope brakes withstand worse.

SJS are awesome. No-one else can be bothered to stock and list the obscure and small bits they have and I've always had quick delivery from them. Everyone has longer lead times with staffing issues and increased orders at the moment.
