My Scottish family's opinions:
my nana lives in the Outer Hebridies and is reported to not talking to anyone about this matter with the only word about it being that she will move to England if Scotland becomes independent. She's born and bred Hebridean. My S-Dad is super pissed off because he can't vote (or vote for a referendum), he's from Glasgow but lives in England.
My mum is more concerned that her mum ^ would move near her if Scotland chooses to be separate.. so she's hoping for a NO.

went to visit my mum (her new kitten) yesterday... It's a 2 nth old rescue feral from outside her work... it had been in a fight and was sat in the same place all day scared and was probably going to die like the other kittens when the geese and big birds come along in the evening. They brought him in at about 4pm that day when it was still just sat on the grass outside. He had the tip of his nose and mouth all injured, but is now healed. was a tiny kitten when she brought it home, it's still tiny now! And tame, just like a household kitten, well, tame for a kitten to which everything is a game! It's called Hamish.. yeah my mum is good with pet names...

yes good shout for car, it's the only way. (sorry, LFGSS)
it's digital but this is the cloud cover you could be dealing with in the hills http://tinyurl.com/la474vt which might actually make for good moody shots -
I went this time last year, was beautiful. Can be pretty cloudy/foggy when you go up high so make sure you get a good disp with a setting like that.
Also get an underwater camera, the sea water is clear as fuck.
Things are pretty expensive there tho as it's shipped/flown, so maybe buy here, also didn't really see many when I was there.
Beautiful scenery, you are going to get some great shots. Where you off? I did most of East side. -
