So it finally happened to me.
Approaching a junction, side road to my left before the lights. The left lane for straight on, right lane for a filter light. One oncoming lane, with two No Right Turn signs.
I'm in primary in left hand lane, there is stationary traffic in the right hand lane. Oncoming car driver cuts through the stationary traffic, ignoring the two No Right Turn signs.....and hits me, I'm travelling at ~20mph, lights have just turned green in front of me.
Managed to get driver license/details/a ride in ambulance. Driver left before police arrived.
Cracked rib and bruised calcaneus plus general cuts, bruises and pain. Pringled wheel, bent handlebars, bent crank arms, and assorted gouges and scratches.

Edit: Unfortunately you are buying at the worst time of year, as mostly the new stock has come in for winter, although you might find some bargains.

It's probably about 1 degree colder up there at the minute. But once air temp really changes I imagine the gap to increase a bit. A winter suit will do you all year, definitely. Top tip, vaseline your jaw from your ear. You will rub the hell out of your skin in a thicker suit. And its hard on suit if you have stubble ha.
Not sure on tri rules about hoods etc, but its amazing how hard it is to think when swimming in cold seas. It might be worth looking at Alpkit or something, but neoprene hoods really helped girlfriend enjoy surfing over winter.
Its been a long time since I've done any swim training, but if I remember correctly, we had a weird belt with up-turned cups on it. Not sure if someones Dad had bodged it together. The leg floats are effective training aids for improving stroke power too.
Edit: Over a long period of time (intensive training of keeping torso, and a medicine ball out of the water), yes.

As mentioned previously, swimming wetsuits are much more supple (read thinner) than a general use/surf wettie. However, wearing a winter suit is actually excellent resistance training.
A big thing for first time cold water swimmers is Cold Water Shock. I would advise having a partner or someone on shore for the first couple of times.
One of the differences between the sea and the pool is the 'silkiness' of pool water. This is due to higher density water in the sea, so while you are slightly more buoyant, its slightly harder to move through. So I would suggest increasing your drag in the pool,
but is always busy with people walking along the promenade (lower risk of drowning)
I would have a slightly different viewpoint, in that it is slightly more likely that your calls for aid would be heard, rather than being less likely to drown.
As a water polo player, I would suggest learning to tread water using the eggbeater technique. Its a fairly easy skill to learn, and it is great for keeping your head steady above the water for a fairly low output of energy.
Apparently Edinburgh Road Club do swim sessions.
Well that felt like a scattershot post but meh.

Had a quick look in the BNF for side-effects. Pain in extremities falls into the higher frequency category. The 3 categories being Side effects, Less Commonly, and Rarely.

Worth a read if you haven't already.

Just looking at that route, I really wouldn't ride the A30 between Penzance and Okehampton. It's a motorway in everything but name. There have been a few deaths on that road because people think that it's the only road from Land's End. The A388 runs parallel to it, and I would probably head across to the A39. Or look at the route the Kernow 600 uses.

Depends what type of paper you are stripping really, and what you are replacing it with.
In the first room we used a steamer, but it trashed the ancient plaster as it seemed to be all patchwork.
In one room to start with we just picked a corner and pulled, and keep doing that until we only had the stubborn bits left. This was the most satisifying way.IF you are re papering, we managed to separate the wallpaper from the lining paper in the hall by lightly scoring the top layer of the wallpaper and using warm water to soak and for us it split the wallpaper from the layer glued down.

Is that what you are looking for?

How many sections are you going to do it in? Depends where you are crossing really, are you are doing bridge across to Saltash, Torpoint ferry or Cremyll ferry. Are you riding via Torbay/Ashburton? Personally I would go via Exeter/Okehampton/Lewdown/ Tinhay/Lifton/Launceston on the old A30.
I have an audax route at home that avoids the horrible horrible horrible A38. It's essentially the motorway for Cornwall.

Pretty sure that is similar to the one Tom Simpson is wearing,
