Slide a centrelock rotor onto a hub spline and notice how much rotational movement there is. When you consider you have 2 companies making 2 different parts (one for rotor, one for hub) it doesn't take much of a machine tolerance difference to create some space to allow movement. Yes I agree that pads can move in some calipers .

I've done a lot of di2 repairs and yet to see a faulty component drain the battery. It is usually a damaged cable. Front derailleurs with the braze on mount supporting bolt not engaged onto the frame can be an issue.
A cable that has been pinched can easily short the rest of the system. Cables that don't insert into components and junction boxes with a nice clean click are also a problem.
My go to is to strip the bike completely and lay the system out on a table for inspection. If I don't find anything the I will methodically switch one part out at a time which takes a while until I find the culprit.

I have 2 of the above bikes. Both brand new. Have sat on my shop floor for almost a year and have hardly been looked at.
One is black/red roller 7 small and the other is white roller 7 medium.
Retailed for £1100 at one point somewhere by someone which was way OTT. Priced to sell at £200 posted.

TransAtlantic Way starts in the morning.

Didn't recognise any names on the start list for front runners but should be fun to watch.
Just spent 3 hours doing last minute checks on bikes. Crazy how people can turn up to a ride like this without giving their bike a full once over. Numerous lose headsets, sloppy di2 shifting and one hub that was completely knackered.

Have a planet X pro carbon in with downtube cable guides that are lose. The old rivets were easily drilled out but my problem is that I can't get the rivet gun tight enough into the frame past the mount to operate.
Has anyone got any ideas of rivet tools with a small head or extension bars to allow clearance?

The silver non drive side piece that attaches to the trailer is actually threaded into the axle section that goes through the wheel so that is spinning.
Hard to explain but I have a broken one in the shop that I will send a photo of tomorrow which will explain everything.
If you need a replacement then the Robert axle project will have something suitable.
