There is a little ball bearing in the quick release mechanism and it's probably getting jammed. I was sure the br-5800 QR was the same as the 6800 and could be disassembled but that looks riveted together.

Seeing a growing trend here in Ireland for supported ultra events(Donegal 555, Wild Mayo Ultra 600) now adding an unsupported section which is great for riders like myself.

Problem is they charge more for the unsupported than the supported. Donegal 555 is €275 Vs €330 respectively.

I questioned the Mayo guys re pricing and they came back at me saying the unsupported need more help than supported which I can't see as true as unsupported have no vehicle or crew paperwork to deal with.

Is it unreasonable to be annoyed at their pricing structures or a good arguement against it?

Same start and finish always makes rider logistics easier. Finding a friendly hotel/BB and stashing all your pre and post race stuff is nice.

Very stupid what they have done. They have 3 countries of their own to route through. A lap of Wales, a dip into the lakes and the peaks and you have a bloody tough route. Why the need to send people across the water all whilst stepping on another route organisers toes. Shit like that gets you knee capped here.
