After a rash of bike thefts, I am trying to build up an old steel beater and I'm in the market for some cheap cranks, and I only have a square taper or external BB (as much as I love octalink!) - keen to get something in the next couple days without burning to a crisp, so anything vaguely near NW10 would be great!

On the festival out west theme, we're having a sort of festival in our large shared garden on Saturday, with live music and performances plus some of my Homebrew 😜 (not as good as @skydancer's but @Oliver Schick can attest that it won't make you go blind). All are welcome and it should be quite child-friendly!

I am keen if I can make it, but would likely be on the late side (9ish?) and currently all my bikes are either broken or on extended leave with no anticipated return date (aka stolen!)
What is the deal with the £20 advance tickets on the site - seems a bit steep, or is that the multi-day? Are they cheaper on the door? -
@tracknut has said he'll come tomorrow for the rear, but the front is still available...

Have a couple wheels I no longer want, free for collection in NW10. Forum donation or/and beers great but only if you want!
They are both unbranded/OEM afaik but who knows they might just be destickered gems 🤣
The front is all black deep section aero track wheel (solid axle, track nuts). It has a brake track but you wouldn't know as paint is not rubbed off because it just hasn't really been braked on. It is heavy af. Don't think for a second it is some sort of elite carbon TT bit of kit. It was made (or at least used) purely for the lolz. Continental ultra sport tyre 25c and tube with stupidly long valve included bc I can't be asked to take them off. If you have something in 28-30c you can donate in exchange, it wouldn't go amiss 😜
The rear wheel has a fixed/free hub but the threads for the lockring look done 😩 the 16t freewheel works but but I don't think I can get it off... Has a bit of rust but seems to just be surface. 32c tyre(old Vittoria?) and tube with too-short valve can be included, but might be annoying tbh. Track nuts not pictured but can be included.
More freebies to come hopefully! -

I feel like someone has surely already done something like this, and probably done a much better job, so please point me towards other examples - I'm just trying to make it easier for people who aren't necessarily passionate about bikes to get to a saddle that is comfortable more quickly.
And if you have tried lots of saddles, I'd love to have others contribute to this (or similar) framework, so I can give you an 'edit' link to the spreadsheet (it's on comment only for now, since this is just an open link share) -
I've just been trying to come up with a quick descriptive framework for different types of saddles so that people who aren't very bike-savvy can try a saddle, then say "I think I need something wider/firmer/etc"
My first stab at it here has 3 categories with 4 choices, but what am I missing?:- width narrow medium wide extra wide
- middle flat dip cutout large cutout
- surface hard firm soft extra soft
so it looks like this with a few examples of saddles people may be familiar with:
- width narrow medium wide extra wide

I'm tempted to get a Metropolitan fast train (bikes allowed after 7pm, last fast train is 7:30) to Chorleywood (or similar), drop down to The Land of Liberty, and from there to the Coy Carp and/or Old Orchard, then crack on homeward (probably bailing out somewhere along the Metropolitan/Central line).
Would anyone be up for this plan (or some variation thereof) on Wednesday evening?
Thursday would probably be better for normal drinks in Acton (as @NorthLondonLight suggests) and wouldn't suit this plan anyways because of the strikes. -
Anyone interested in combining a ride with a pint to take advantage of the long evenings? I'd even come out as far as Ruislip @mespilus if you've got a nice local route and beer garden...

Yeah it was so fun - basically an MTB with Gravel forks so super low and long. Wheels were discus C35s not carbon, but one of the nicest wheelsets I've bought - even the lock was brand new! ðŸ˜
Still scouring eBay and Gumtree for signs of it, but I think it's beyond hope.
Have got a (broken!) carbon frame from Jukedy to build up to replace it, but it will be more of a normal road bike. -

have found one of the ethirteen rims on CRC that is 28h but can't find the ERD - the closest product I could find was this one which has an ERD of 599. Anyone able to help with the ERD?
EDIT: Wiggle live chat support confirmed it is 599, no offset - surprisingly quick!
Thanks! I should be able to swing towards Battersea on Wednesday - does that work? I'll PM to follow up...
