@falconvitesse did I just see you riding down Old Kent Road like yesterday's ride in the peaks wasn't enough riding?!
-
As if the adulation of the forumisti wasn't enough I've also received a logo'd up lightweight musette from @Chopsicle
I'm sure I'm not worthy, etc. but absolutely blown away by the generosity. Looking forward to filling it with pastries or belvita on a ride soon.
Also, as so excellently put by @clubman I'm also very thankful to @youramericanlover for organising and making the ride what it is.

Incredibly honoured to have joined the exalted company of previous winners, I still think there's been some confusion regarding my "work" as backstop and just being incapable of going up any inclines much quicker but I'll take it!
Thanks again everyone for making it such a great ride and hopefully it's a sign of a good year to come.

Great day out, weather looked kindly on us for what seemed like the first time in a year. Very thankful for good chat, no ice and excellent beers at the end. Thanks as ever to Dan for organising and everyone who came along for making it what it is.
Hopefully see you soon on a Tuesday night hills, hard day in the peaks or a tnrc soon!

If you do ever have the misfortune of being stopped by a copper who is actually aware of construction and use regs then they'll also be able to do you for not having a chainguard/front sprocket cover (if not fitted not an MOT fail), brake light operated by both brakes (photo doesn't seem to show a switch on the front?) and you also need a red rear reflector - thought that one was an MOT requirement too though.
Ninja edit - if you're going for no lights at all then ignore the brake light comment! Reflector still needed.

Is there even anyone left in/near London still riding their sweet fixeh bieks?
Do you like fig rolls, terrible pints of "mild" or "rhubarb cider", being heckled by the regulars in a provincial Wetherspoons and crying into your stem after two pints and no food when someone decides to smash it off the front on the A21 back into town? Then these could just be the rides for you!
We're a bit later to this than is traditional - BST is approaching so Surrey Season Opener next week?
