Hi People
My partner is making me do a bit of spring cleaning and after seeing how hard it is to buy a new bike at the moment we’ve decided to part ways with two of our unused bikes (I imagine this is just the start) :(
We’re in SE14 and happy to accommodate viewings but we’re mindful of the pandemic and would only do so in a safe way.
First is my partners new(ish) bike (ladies Boardman ADV 8.8, size Medium 50cm) bought during the first lockdown with the idea of replacing her original road bike. After almost a year now she has realised that she will only use her original bike as it has sentimental value. This bike has done 10 miles MAX. Should have the owners manual here somewhere.
We fitted Continental GP5000 tyres which are expensive, I still have the original CX tyres which would be included in the price.
Originally the bike was £800 and the tyres around £50/each. I’m looking for £600 considering it’s pretty much new I think it’s a fair price but I’m happy to consider reasonable offers. There are one or two small marks from storage but it’s clear that it’s not been used.
The second one is my Pashley Guvnor. Beautiful classic bike, single speed 22” frame, for reference I’m 5’10. This is the medium size as they only make 20” 22” and 24”. I think I still have the manual from when I bought it. It has a new chain with no miles on it and a surly chain tug.
Used but in good condition, RRP around £800 when I bought it 5 years ago. As this bike is older and has been used looking for around £300 but again open to hearing offers.
Will try to upload some pics shortly but can WhatsApp them easily if there’s interest.
Thanks for looking.

Hello all.
I can take pics if you’re interested.
I have an Elite Direto trainer, bought for covid but moved jobs and have subsequently been able to cycle to work this entire time. I had convinced myself that I would still use it but I never have.
It came with a 1 month free Zwift which I’ve used but that was it. I think I did 3 rides.
It had all the gubbins and manual tucked away somewhere safe but for some reason I have been unsuccessful locating it tonight. I’m sure with some frantic searching it will surface.
Otherwise I will be reasonable about price if its current set up it works for you. It saves me busting a nut trying to find it.
It is set up for QR with a 10 speed 105 (11/28 I think) cassette is practically new like the trainer and included at no extra cost. I have the riser block and a European plug that works. So if 10 speed QR is your thing and you have a travel adapter then sweep up a bargain.
These retail at £770, normally on sale around £550 ish. I got it on sale and had I found the missing bits I would ask for something around the £350/400 mark but if you are happy to take it away as is then I don’t mind a firm £300.
Collection from New Cross (SE14) or I can possibly deliver locally as I have a car.
Thanks for looking.

Hello,
I have a 60cm Pearson Touche single speed, it is a bit shiny but its nice and fun to ride. I've always locked it up no problem. Im in South London on the Overground line.
Its probably a bit nicer (more expensive) than what you're looking for but I could do some parts swapping to make it a bit less attractive (cheaper).
It has almost new Halo Aerorage track wheels with new gp5000 tyres, if I keep these along with my brooks saddle and replace them with something a bit less special then the price could be in line with your budget.
I'm 5'10'' and have to ride it with saddle almost at its lowest so a 6 footer would be fine.

I know there are some folding commuters on here, so i'm testing the water on here first.
Here I have my Junction 1909, bought as a replacement for my Dahon Jifo. I have however continued using my Jifo and have sadly disregarded all of my previous justifications which has now led to this being superfluous. It has sat gathering dust for a short while and is now in the way.
It has only been used a handful of times, enough for the seat and grips to darken slightly, everything else is still fresh from the shop.
It is the top of the junction range, most cycle parts are made by dahon so replacements easily sourced from raleigh. (Last time I ordered a wheel for the Jifo it cost £16) Its the 9 speed model. It has the nice cork Ergon grips and the Brooks saddle, as well as marathon supreme tyres and sks mudguards.
Located in South East London.
Viewing welcomed however I do work a lot!
These are £1k retail, normally sold at £900, I got it for £700 through work, theres a guy on ebay selling one in a box for £600. Realistically I would like no less than £500 but I will listen to offers as i'm testing the water on here.
I can take pics of the actual bike if needed, but viewing is welcomed. :)

There is a job going for a full time mechanic in putney . . .
If you utter the name 'halfords' to most enthusiasts you will probably hear an old tale of forks being fitted backwards and wheels falling off. No comment. . .
I have been working in halfords for ages now and when I started it was a bit of a joke as me and my mates were racing DH an 4X. Halfords was not a name that us lot cared for.
Throughout my time working for them, from school to college to uni and now in London, I have been treated really well. Halfords has learnt to really respect and appreciate passion and knowledge and the company has changed dramatically to reflect this. I never thought that the cheapest place to get parts would be from work, nor that I would get a £2k c2w voucher each year to spend on whatever I want.
We have an opportunity in Putney. Both the Store Manager and myself, the Assistant Manager, are passionate about bikes. We are proficient mechanics, and we are looking for enthusiastic person who wants to be the main man in a small bike shop.
Experience is preferred but not essential. Attitude is key! Full training is available.
If you or anyone you know may be looking for this kind of opportunity come in and have a chat with us.
Thanks
Lance
