I see trance music seems to come up in different conversations here on LFGSS quite often but I do not see a specific thread for it. So I thought it would be great to have a place to post recommendations, tracks, events or all thing trance related. It can be euphoric, progressive, etc., but must be trance.
Here ones, an old one to get things going...

Please forgive I was feeling very down when I wrote this.
Where the cold wind blows
Bleak, sometimes I wonder will it end
A penance yet I wait for divine intervention
Standing cold waiting for her forgiveness
Ravaged by a memory for told by a pastI held beauty I held it in my hand
A saviour a sinner a lover a kindred
Drowning in fallen tears I search
But you can never walk back in timeNow I see her face once it was her soul
And I would give my life for one more day
Crawling on my knees I cross this baron land
Desperation only leads to desolationStench of burning how I burnt her wings
And that masquerade could have killed us both
Children play but there’s no substitute for the heart
And the my story is, is the tale of the living ghostAnd when that cold wind blows
The only serenity will be the echo of her name
And when that angel falls I will burn her once again
My curse never forsaken my curse I bear -
She is about seven but prior to me rescuing her she had a pretty terrible time. The vet believes she had a fracture of the front leg which the previous owners did not get attention for and she was a bag of bones. So the vet thinks she looks older due to trauma, but the amazing thing is she still has a great trust of humans and probably is the most loving little dog I have ever owned. I really believe when a rescue dog finds a good loving forever home they are more affectionate.

Over eating/drinking/smoking etc, are all just forms of rebellious behavior surely !? Giving the finger to society's norms - which we all do sometimes - but then getting into a vicious circle of repetition because of the short-lived benefits.
My friends who have quit smoking have (mostly) used Mr Carr's book, which "sells" the benefits of not-smoking. You are told NOT to attempt giving up until you have read the whole book, or you won't be sufficiently re-programmed to succeed.
IMHO, we all become what we WANT to be; higher aspirations are just dreams and we don't really want/need them.
.I once had a conversation with a doctor regarding heavy smoking, binging, etc., and he explained that in some respect it can be another form of self harm. I wonder if anyone else has any thoughts regarding this.

Yesterday as I also volunteer with a leading mental health charity I was called to a meeting about how the centre was being re-organized in attempt to improve services for the users and the term was used frequently. In order to help those 'recover' the centre will no longer allow users to drop in and socialize, volunteers will no longer be able to attend groups, users can only attend groups/services which once were basically free but will have to paid for if they receive DLA, etc.,. services will be on an appointment basis. The list goes on and talking to fellow users I feel this is not aiding recovery as the centre was a life line as many are lonely and isolated and this was the only place they felt comfortable to socialize. The argument is that users should meet away from the centre and not be dependant on it but many felt that they just could not meet outside this environment and were quite distressed. I feel it is not just places like these that are using the term to justify cuts in services. For many years I and many attended a resource centre run by the local hospital partnership trust which provided us with many vital services which we could access at a drop of a hat, support and a place we could go and tbh kept many out of hospital but again it was felt it was not aiding our 'recovery' and was closed by the trust. In practice 'recovery' could be a good thing but I can't help feeling it is being used to mask cut backs. All I can see is services disappearing and many feeling alone and vunerable.

'Recovery' seems to be the new buzz word/thinking among mental health professionals and the government when planning a patients care. I was just wondering do any of you have any opinions on this. As for me a user of mental health services feel it is a way of reducing cost and cutting services without considering an individual patients needs. I do not fully understand the term but over the past 5 years seen a reduction in services and greater use of the word.

Hi...I have had to sets of Knog Frog lights and every time the front light packs up. Not the battery but it seems more like a bad connection as if I take the batteries out and put them in again the light works for until they are put back on the bike. Has anyone else found this and any recommendations for a good set of lights which are similar in design to the Knogs.

Rode 50 miles last Sunday for the first time in years ridding in the Stevenage Circular 50 Audax ride. Really proud of myself as the most I usually ride in a single day is no more than 25 miles. Nearly killed me but I made it and hopefully do a few more Audax type rides in the future. Weather was not so great and a lot of big hills but nice countryside. Felt really good when I finished.
