I'd look into this pretty well to confirm if I were you, but when at Ipswich a few weeks ago I'm pretty sure they had a sign up saying no bikes at all (I guess without a reservation) on trains from there this Sunday to London, and that included folding if I remember correctly, which would be harsh...

If ferrys are your thing @honk the Bawdsey to Felixstowe ferry is cute and you can catch more of the nice coastal landscape if you head that way. It's basically a small boat that shuttles back and forth continuously, and takes a very pleasant 3 minutes or so. It's on the Wolf Way cycle route (that I can recommend also). So the potential for at least 3 ferries on your return. As a dynamo first-timer, I'll be taking the coach. Have a good ride!

Hi all,
I'm wondering if I could commission a small job from anyone able to sew webbing (eg. like the omnium webbing up the thread). I'm looking to make a continuous loop to carry a pannier over my shoulder as 1. I'm new to panniers and 2. hand carrying the one I generally have with me is already annoying. A loop of 15ocm i think will give me 2 styles of carry and require just a simple sturdy sew on the overlap. Anyone have some webbing lying around and a machine that can sew it? All colours considered. DM me to discuss if so. Thanks! -

I know there's some people on here that work with them, I forget who though... -

Another question, somewhat unformed, likely naive. I've been wondering whether there are any industry discussions about limiting production? Or between companies that decide to stay small(er) / resist growth / speculative or boom expansion? I'm wondering this partly in relation to a conversation with a friend who has quite a lot of experience as a fashion designer for big houses/brands re: companies that are 'big' but never make a profit, often being acquired by investment funds on the basis of potential to make a profit, and then thinking about the year on year losses of at least one major cycling clothing brand and wondering what degree overproduction is at root of these trading losses (plus advertising spend and coffee trucks and product development etc. I realise, but still)...? I'd be curious how the scale conversation intersects with conversations around durability, repair / loops, product lifecycles etc.

Linking two discussions - is it possible to repair the original backpacks? I put a small hole in mine (which is great - thank you @Chopsicle a few years ago) with some poorly packed supplies and I'd like to stop it from spreading...?

Exactly, thanks @amey
Replied to PM, sorry for missing these yesterday -

Selling one CNOC 16 having just moved to the next size up. Fantastic bike, normal scuffs and scrapes but otherwise in great condition. New brake cables, all else in full working order. Also these raw ones are a nicer finish for these IMO. Resale on Ebay remains high and this should last for many more kids I reckon. Easily adaptable with seat post and riser bars, excellent Islabike build quality etc. More photos / any questions, just ask. Collection in N16.
Asking £110 -> £105 -> SOLD

Apologies if I’ve failed to find this elsewhere on the thread but could anyone recommend a good zip supplier? I’m replacing the double zip on an otherwise indestructible T-level rucksack and I can’t find what I need (85cm double zip with closed ends). Any go-to that I’m missing? Cheers!
