Anyone got a Swyft sofa? I’ve recently bought one (model 01) and I just cannot get comfortable on it at all. Hurts my lower back. The base is far too wide, and the back too low.
Looks lovely though… but ultimately when you’re spending a grand on a sofa you expect to be able to sit on it as well.
I’ve thrown away the boxes which means I’m ineligible for the 100 day no quibble refund, but I guess they’ll still take it back but just charge me for transport. -

Planning on installing a desk in the alcove in my living room (typical Edwardian terrace).
Rather than a rectangle I’d like a curved desk so that I can look out the window sometimes as well.
Is there a forum approved place I can provide some measurements and they can cut and deliver one piece of, for example fancy plywood or similar (I’d order it slightly too big so that I can trim to fit the uneven walls)?

I’m sad about the ulez expansion as it means I’ve taken my lovely Citroen BX GTi 16v off the road- and as I only ever use it for leaving London rather than local trips, it seems a bit unfair as I’d be charged the same to drive to the m11 as I would be if I was chugging round inside the zone all day.
Plus running an older car rather than buying a new one is, I am guessing, a much lower carbon footprint overall.
But I guess on a societal level it’s worth it and I should stop being selfish! -

Solidarity. It’s ludicrous that we have reached a point in progressive political discourse where women can be castigated and denounced as “bigots” for standing up for their sex-based rights.
The population at large - ie the people the Labour Party needs to win over if ever they want to hold power again - are also well aware of what a biological woman is and what a biological woman isn’t. I think that Starmer would be wise to bear this in mind.
As others have mentioned, the saddle plays a big role here in terms of wear rate: the smoother the better.
i.e. go for shiny leather (albeit nickable) or shiny plastic (albeit sweaty)
