@ArthurDent
Hey, Sorry I just noticed your message now. They are available in Japan as deadstock. What length are you after? -

I think the frame is from 2009. It was built by Nakagawa for the Japanese version of the “Rapha Continental”. There are some pictures of the frame on Flickr and there is an interview at the washing machine post of Raphas Japan representative in 2009 talking about ordering the frame. I just bought it recently second hand so I don’t know why it has the Tricolore… but about the seperate seat clamp, that’s a change in design Nakagawa did about that time… when you look at his recent frames they all have seat clamps.

Thanks for your nice comments! I spontaneously bought the PMP crank when picking up a stem I bought of eBay. It’s my first time using a compact crank and I like its look paired with 7800 dura ace. Actually I am using many left over bits (7403 wheels, 7700 rear shifter, 7800 brakes, 7900 dt shifter) but it works well as 10 speed. Going to mount a 7800 front shifter in the next days to replace the 105 which is not working all that great.

Hi,
I would like to buy a frame of eBay.co.uk and the seller doesn’t get answer my question of shipping to Berlin, Germany or being able to pick up the frame in person.So I am looking for somebody to do me a huge favour and receive the frame for me. It can either be forwarded by mail to Germany or I could arrange to visit London to pick up the frame in person.
Since the auction is ending today, any reply would be highly appreciated!
PS: I thought of using a mail forwarding service but the reviews are all pretty gruesome.

The route looks nice. Don´t underestimate Hakone and the blue part of Izu peninsular. Its very hilly but beautiful. How are you going to get back to Tokyo from Hakone? You could ride along the bay to Kamakura and then through Yokohama back to Tokyo. Especially at summer nights I enjoy this ride, following the backroads next to Toyoko-line from Yokohama to Den-en-chofu and then into central Tokyo. If thats your thing.

I think what makes bivy + tarp attractive on US hiking trails is the ability to cowboy camp when the weather is good and add bivy and tarp depending on bug pressure and bad weather.
I transitioned (in hiking and bikepacking) from a Tarptent to a mid + inner which I still found too much to put up and break down the next morning when cycling large distances. I recently got a minimal tarp and bivy to try out this summer. -
Maybe cutting the steerer and using this steerer externder by velobike could be an option?

I got a DiNucci a while ago I am planning to build up this summer. Time-correct would be 7400 6/7 speed Dura Ace, but I am thinking to go non period-correct, focussing on what works well. For example 7800 dual-caliper, 7410 seat post and Record carbon brake-levers. Aero dt-shifter are set since they came with the frame and fit the aero braze ons. Still undecided on wheelset since the frame is 126mm. Thinking either 7400 hubs or 6401, which has the benefit of hyperglide despite being 126mm, so 8 of 9 or 9 of 10 would work.
Unsure of headset: black seems to blend in with the frame. silver seems to stand out too much. any opinions? -
