Single speed set up with summer race tyres - just how boggy is it likely to be?

Can't remember if I asked but anyone used a singulator - any good for serious mud? Curtis returning from respray and tempted to go single speed but vertical drop outs and standard bb.

3hr road ride. Supposed to be 1.5hrs - no food, started feeling nauseous, couldn't climb seated got so I could barely ride and seriously considered asking strangers for food.

As you no doubt guessed I didn't. Work hiatus means my earning potential is strongly linked to me having a functioning skeleton also feel a bit meh about racing atm.

What's replaced/replacing it?

Historically Gorrick have been about 90% of my races. My 2016/17 winter training was specifically targeted at 2 of their events, both of which were cancelled. G25 was offered as an alternative - cancelled.
Looks like I'll have to travel further to race in 2018.

Gorrick 25 anniversary event cancelled as land licence from Army rescinded. Makes you wonder how long they can carry on like this.

Mostly to offer encouragement when they pass which they do a lot. It's really heartening to get some positive vibes when you're dying on the course

Beer cake post race!

Try and avoid high fat foods immediately before, during and immediately after the event. Fat takes longer to metabolise and interferes with carb absorption so you can feel full but not get the benefit. Cake is quite high fat :(

Enjoy Big Dog - decided it's too risky to ride a 6hr race when I can barely manage 3hrs training 😓.
