I built this up a few months ago but am just not using it.
It’s a 54cm Genesis Equlibrium 725 Steel frame with carbon fork. Has clearance for upto around 30/32c tyres, rack mounts and mudguard mounts. New set of Miche long drop callipers to take the larger tyres, a pretty new 105 groupset & Mavic Ksyrium Equipe wheels. Currently has 23c GP4000’s but will pop a set of 25c on if preferred?
It’s a really nice bike to ride, so smooth.
The only thing I’d say it needs is some new black bar tape, I didn’t get round to putting any on it. Will come as shown but without the saddle, I’ll see if have another saddle around but can’t find one at the moment.

I really fancy building up a steel bike as I’ve never had one... looking for something 54/55cm that will take modern wheels and calipers... not fussy about paint condition as have a chap that will refurb for me... or happy to pay for something nice.

Having a bit of a clearout (more items to be added later)...

1 pair of chrome (non branded) brake calipers, I have never used them so are almost brand new: £10 posted

1 pair of used lightweight QR skewers, used on my old bike but removed when I sold and and not used for around a year or so: £7.50 posted

1 x 14t track cog and 1 x 16t track cog, used but not by me, £6 posted for the pair

1 set of Kinesis full alloy forks, never used & steerer uncut, only slight bad point is when I cut the box open I managed to slice one side with the knife but hardly shows as I touched it in with some touch up paint. £40 posted

Description from Kinesis:

Also have these Kinesis 7075 Aluminium forks, brand new never used, I bought them as I'm planning a new winter build but now my plans have changed so these are no longer required. The only one issue is in my haste to open them I managed to run the stanley knife down the righthand legas can be seen on the white part of the fork, I have touched in the black part and it is only noticable close up.

I built this up with the intention of using it as a bit of fun/pub/shop bike but since finishing it I have ridden to the shop once on it. Now I want to start a new project and this has to go. I stripped, primed and painted the bike myself and it looks good (even if I do say so myself) and rides really well. It is built up of the following:

Raleigh Zenith 501 frame: Top Tube = 57cm. Seat Tube = 59cm
Deep rear wheel with Quando flip/flop rear
Mavic front rim with Campagnolo hub.
Bontranger tyres.
170mm 44t Stronglight chainset.
New KMC chain
Original Raleigh seatpost, bars, cut to bull horn with new Deda bartape & Custom stem
Bike is currently in South Croydon just opposite Purley Oaks train station.
