NOW SOLD
57 cm square Carbitubo. The frame was acquired from an ex German National Team rider. They were painted in a set of six by Colnago for the team. Uwe Ampler rode one of these!
The paint its pretty much immaculate. No dings or serious chips. The photos tell the story. Campagnolo Record carbon 10 spd groupset, including headset. Shamal Titanium HPW 10 spd wheels. New Flite saddle, Cinelli bars and stem. A no expense spared build. It's a joy to ride and Tony Romingers favourite frame of all time! Colnago panto on nearly every lug and frame fitting, all picked out in pukka gold leaf. Arrival of a C40 project forces sale, that and the fact that her indoors has a strict 'one in/one out' policy on bicycles :)
Groupset/wheels and finishing kit cost over £1400. Good clean frames like this one sell £800-1000.
£1600 will post within EU.

To answer a few general queries from pm's:
These are for 27"x1" or 1 and 1/4" tyres. The hub is screw on British thread at 126mm oln the front is standard 100mm. The wheels were totally rebuilt with stainless steel spokes, about 10 months ago, less than 400km since then and the brake tracks are perfect with almost no visible wear. Correct curved lever Campagnolo skewers front and rear. They are like new wheels basically, but vintage. Perfect for any 50/60/70's frame. New but still essentially old ! If you get my drift !!

I commute on a busy four lane section for about 2.5 miles of the journey. At least once a week in the ludicrously complicated series of junctions I'll cock it up and upset a driver. This normally results in them having to wait at the lights ten seconds normal than usual.
When motorists cock it up on this section, the results have been A. Broken clavicle for me B. Smashed up faced for a girl coming off the cycle track that runs into it and C. A fatality of a pedestrian last November in heavy rain.
Bad motorists are hugely more dangerous than a bad cyclist ever is.

Well, now's the best time to buy. I've a pal in Vintage and Collectibles who's observed the steady creep of Scottish Art and silver in the anticipation of a likely YES vote in September. Pretty certain Flying Scot bikes will go the same road when that Tartan fever kicks in after September 18th. Same thing happened in southern Ireland.
Fill yer boots!

Here's one they made earlier on eBay - wrong 1970's decals, no brass head badge and a rattle can finish by the looks of: £675
If you look at the item history, this is the NINTH time the guy has tried to sell it to no avail. He cites 'frame issue's in response to the reason why.
Like I said, a good clean twin Carbitubo frame - £800-1000
