Hi all,

So, this is an interesting one. I picked up an amazing frameset off Ebay recently - the Colnago Dream you can see below. It's painted in KoM colours, and from what I can find online, I suspect it's a one-off. It's made of Columbus Airplane alloy tubing for the front triangle, with the carbon B-Stay for the rear. It's also got the full carbon Colnago Star fork too.

I think that it was probably made to celebrate Michael Rasmussen's KoM victory in the 2005 TDF. I had it imported from Italy a little while ago, where I think it may well have been sitting in a Colnago warehouse. All of these things I suspect, but unfortunately, I don't have anything much to back this up with.

So, I had amazing dreams (ha!) for this frameset. Unfortunately, I screwed myself with the size. While it's a 51 CTC, due to the tubing, it's 55 CTT (I had thought it would be 53) so it's too big for me. I imagine it's probably designed for someone 5'9"+.

It's never been built up, and frankly I don't want to build it up with only a few cm of seatpost showing. While I could ride it like that, it'll look ugly as hell, and it deserves better.

So, it's effectively brand new and a nice little TDF celebration piece. I'm looking for pricedrop £650 - bearing in mind it's never been built up and is absolutely blemish free (it's immaculate). I don’t mean a little scratch here or there, I mean out of the box fresh. New effectively.

Has anyone got/tried/seen the new 2014 version? I'm thinking about it for a winter commuter. Seems a pretty good choice for the awful Surrey/Hants roads.

Lovely looking bike. Saddle looks pretty far forward on that seatpost though, what's the offset?
