Just throwing out some numbers re a few comments above relating to temps.
Currently wfh in a 1930's suburban semi - presently 14C where I'm sat right now, 9C in bedroom, 3C in attic (turbo/basic gym setup there), 12C in kitchen... Costs me a tenner a day to keep the place close to comfortable, so yeah fuck that, it's extra hoodys/base layers time.
Mix of original single pane windows (stained glass), and dodgy white upvc double glazing (at least a few decades old). No way do I have the £££ needed to address the situation.
I did a wee lol at the comment above that houses should be kept above 15C. I can dream... But yeah fuck the cold, damp UK and it's shitty old housing lol I can see my own breath at the mo, and barely feel my finger tips typing.

Fuck it, zero spends for wacky/bling bits - for now just gonna start putting this back together with whatever is to hand/not fubar'd.
& a Happy Xmas/new year's etc to all lfgussers btw!
Edit: Didn't end up using the cerakote linked upthread - the frame was actually powdercoated before second fade, so bare metal is more a brushed/satin finish under the clear coat (hope that makes sense). Can't stop touching it, super tactile niceness & the candy popss! #succulent

Someone commented elsewhere about the amount of road bikes back in project threads. Absolutely, great to see! That Saeco for example is top drawer. Personally I was really missing a fast, simple mechanical ride. (As much as I love my 'do it all' Trek boone - carbon, hydro disc, compact double, big tyres etc. etc).
And so in typical lfgss fashion tarting up an old frame has turned into the above...
Now no way can I put the old campag bits back on this lol. So it's either hang it on the wall, or start looking for swank group/wheels/finish kit. Though I've presently no inspiration/benjamins/time for this. No idea where to start. Back asap...
Edit: open to any/all suggestions. I do know one thing, this needs Campenaerts mansize gearing.

Might as well kick things off.
NOS aluminium GT Edge road f&f bought off here, via Paris, maybe 2018? I'll be fekked if I can remember from who or find the thread...
Since then in above guise it's been raced, used as fast commuter/city bike, club rides etc.
I cannot stress enough how fast this is. Super torque'y, super light. Put the power down and it flies. And it's 25 yo (anyone want to correct me on that?)
Recent history has seen it unloved and serving turbo duties, getting slowly destroyed by my sweat. All of the sweat...
No more. This thread will document its rise again. The original fork felt noodly, so after snapping a Columbus full carbon 1" fork (drafting a lorry at time, another story), I feel a lot happier now with the above Tifosi 1" carbon/alu steerer. It and the frame will be stripped by:

https://www.facebook.com/bicyclecoffeeshop/(My club, their shop)
And resprayed by:
Not sure what will replace the campag record/chorus group. Not sure of much right now tbh. Just thought I'd kick things off here to document the process.
No guarantees re updates/pics anything really. What I do know is the metal will again be shiny and poppin af, and there will be some kind of fade from forks into frame with logos redrawn. And some blue...
All suggestions/feedback welcome.
