Does anyone want a used Campagnolo headset for spares? I've put in a new one (exactly the same version) and this one is just going into the cupboard. The cups and bearings are a little tired (hence why I replaced it) but someone may want it for something! I'll post it to anyone who needs it (in the EU). It's a slightly older, used version of this one (http://bit.ly/1A0oSqS).
Cheers.(Silk boxers in photo not provided)

I have to agree with Tijmen, I think the original design is 'cleaner' but understand your desire to incorporate the chevrons. Could you not incorporate the Molteni orange and flame red as the two main colours, with the chevrons in grey or silver to match the chromework - similar to the Hitachi colours?
So similar to this, with the green replaced by red? http://goo.gl/qYe3m5
I love chrome, it seems a shame to lose it, especially the rear triangle. You could always use black components, as per this scan (although I think chrome looks classier): http://goo.gl/IDy3Xx
Also, those forks! They look like they are made of chocolate. I'm happy you could bring them back from that.

Those bikes are lovely, much more restrained than mine.
I guess it seems a shame to remove all sense of provenance and ancestry, to my mind. A plain white frame is a plain white frame; I had thought you may replace the 'Martelly' with 'Eddy Martens' at least, just to give the frame a sense of identity. Each to their own though!

I think we've established clothing nirvana. I was only just starting to ride bikes in the nineties (I was born in '82) so for me, that era brings with it all kinds of nostalgia. I ride a nineties Scapin with a bright (bright) yellow and red colourway, so I suppose I'm firmly fixed in the past.
If you are painting it white and retaining the chrome, any thoughts on the typography for the decals?
Oh and that chap in the flouro looks like the West Ham defender James Tomkins -

I wouldn't paint that either; the chrome, red and black scream nineties! It's beautiful. Reminds me a bit of this Chesini: http://goo.gl/8zZRjn
Still, up to you!

Hi all,
I will try to keep this as brief and as lacking in convolution as I can.
Due to nobody's fault but my own I've managed to acquire two great condition Campy SR pedal axles and two (now) fully refurbished Gipiemme Sprint pedals (with axles) but I threaded the M7 nut on the Gipiemmes and the Campagnolo axles aren't compatible with the Sprints - so I'm hoping (praying?) that someone has some Campy pedal 'outers' that they would be willing to sell? I can't afford much and them being a particularly flash pair is of no concern to me - ratty/beaten will do, just so I can get the parts I've spent ages searching for and restoring onto the bike.
If I could get away with using the Sprints with the Campy axles I would, but I cannot see that the two are compatible (despite looking compatible by eye). I've just donated my spare Wellgo pedals to a local bike charity, prior to checking that the two sets I have are compatible. Karma 1, bike 0.
Any ideas?!
Cheers,
Jamie -

To be a *completely *pedantic twat, that thread isn't really a discussion about the quality of photographic ability, more about the composition. Sorry, but you can't have a go about his photographic skills - the man may be Ansel Adams - but you can suggest amendments to the composition of the image.
I don't post often, but sometimes I'm compelled. It's probably the England team Woy has opted for that's pushed me over the edge.
Ha, I was just wondering about chasing you for more photos!
Looks good, but while you're a great builder of bikes, your photography needs work.

That Hardisty is Hardtasty. Not sure where I'm going with that. I like that bike.
