Our boiler has been behaving a bit "iffy" over the last few days, so yesterday I picked up a diaphragm that usually tends to be the culprit. It's a twenty year old Glowworm combi. It didn't start again this morning when the thermostat demanded heat, so I figured I'd better get my hands dirty and change the diaphragm. After isolating power and figuring out which bits to stop flow on, I managed to get it changed, but it didn't solve the less than reliable starting, so I've spent a good portion of the day learning how to fully service it from a pdf version of the manual. Success! We have a boiler now working perfectly again, which made me feel very satisfied.

The leak maybe easier to fix than you think. Our boiler was leaking and I couldn't get a plumber. Youtube and a plumbing supplies place down the road had me replace a little diaphragm and have it all working flawlessly for about a tenner. That was over a year ago, and it's still going strong.
It's really just a matter of how confident you are to shut it down and take it apart. Good luck anyhow!

I'm amazed that no-one seems to have yet mentioned where the whole concept came from. What started the whole Second Life thing was a book called Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson where the main character is a hacker who has had a hand in creating a VR World known as the Metaverse
It's classic Sci-Fi and a great read. If you haven't read it, I would heartily recommend it.
When Facebook announced their re-branding to Meta, I recognised it immediately.

I'm reluctantly selling my Moser track bike. I love this bike, but it doesn't get used anymore, so it ought to go to someone who will. It's an F Moser Pro Evolution frame built from Dedacciai Zero Uno tubing. Size: top tube 56cm c-c, seat tube 56cm c-t. The frame has a tiny dink in the top tube. It was like this when I bought it a few years ago (see photo).
Currently running: Suzue hubs on Mavic MA2 rims (no brake has touched these), Cane Creek headset, Deda RHM02 bars, Easton EA50 stem, Campag Record BB, Gipiemme Special Strada cranks, KMC chain, Condor rear cog (gearing is 48 x 17), San Marco Zoncolan scruffy saddle, Gatorskin front Hardshell back. The bike currently has Look S-Track pedals (Time ATAC cleats work with these) which I can leave on, remove or replace with some Time ATAC ROC pedals if desired.
I want £300 for it as a complete bike. I don't really want to try to post this, and I'm no longer based in London, I'm in Nottingham. If someone in London wants it and doesn't want to travel too far, maybe we can work something out. I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance if that helps.
