It looks very good! I would personally use the potential of that steerer tube and put the stem on top of the spacer. That wouldnt be very slave though...

With different wheels and pedals, I would ride that and probably enjoy it!

@Glanton always proud when my Surly can work as inspiration. Right now it's fighting the snow with wide risers and 37mm studded tyres. It looks like you are going for a great build with those bars and levers. I've done 200k rides with my similar combo and it works fine.

@FFF s build has worked as a great inspiration for me. With what did you replace it? One of my favourite steamrollers around.

And @drøn I'm jealous! Rawlands make outrageously nice monsters. I wish they made them in 64cm :(

Have anyone tried to waterproof your bags with fjällraven G-1000 wax? The texture on the fabric of the super-c bags seems much rougher than the fjällraven fabric. Interested to see if someone had a positive experience with applying g-1000 wax to a super-c bag.

I'm 6'7" so taller than most people. Happy to find a frame that I can ride even if I would probably benefit from a frame that was a tiny bit higher.

Not much talk about bj vigorellis lately in here. However, I fell in love with my vigorelli again after I finally got around to finish the rebuild of it. It's a 25.5"/65cm frame. Readers wife of course but it's ok here isn't it?

That's the kind of cages i'm looking for! The minouras on the previous page seems very clean and decent priced though. They sell at a decent price on ebay too in a 5-pack but with kind of expensive shipping, and I only need two for now.

FFF - Where did you buy the cages? You inspire me to replace the cage on my roller too. Great DIY solution for the second cage. I always mess around with tape and inner tubes as a temporary solution for my second cage but it might be time for a more permanent solution.

This is a recent pic of my roller. The last months I have used it with drops and rack, risers and rack breakless, and drops with hoods. I think i settled for this setup for now, suits my daily commute as well as the 80-100k weekend ride. The money I spent on my roller is probably my best investment ever! Planning a 10 day tour with my roller in august through Denmark and Germany.

Looks big, what size is it?

The rack is a Soma Porteur and the panniers are Carradice super C front panniers. This rack is great on the steamroller since it mounts to the axle and the fork crown through the break hole without the need for any other fittings.

Did some steamroller touring too during the easter weekend. Around 300k over the weekend with this setup.

Worked out fine.

I use 170mm cranks with shimano m520s. No pedalstrikes so far.
