Seems to work well. Adjustable up/down if you slack it off, otherwise it holds tight

Well I ended up springing for a PD-8, courtesy of @snoops. Picked up the wheel from LBS this evening.
Still need to decide either Alfine8 or 1x9/10. Leaning towards Alfine because I already have one and building a wheel sounds like a fun idea?
IQ-X is mounted directly to a boss with a 30mm M5 and some washers. Seems pretty sturdy, and the angle is easily adjustable without being loose. @amey now has the actual mount so I hope this suffices.

The old Deore LX rear brake levers are integrated to the gear selector. So I'm looking for a cheap rear brake lever if anyone has a spare.

I only recently became vegan after watching videos about the conditions inside dairy and egg farms (after being veggie for some time). It's so easy to never know what's it's like inside.

There was a bunch of people protesting outside a local abattoir recently, I didn't even know it was there! I have a feeling the slaughter industry is deliberately very quiet because exposure to the realities of it would make huge numbers of people reconsider their consumption. The issue is, if you try to show people the reality, the reaction is rarely "I need to stop supporting this industry " and is so commonly "why have you exposed me to this footage".

There has to be a happy medium of getting the information out there, without becoming a clichéd militant vegan.
