That's just the point - at present anyone can move/live/work anywhere in the UK. If Scotland becomes independent we'd have to rely on the good sense of our politicians to make sensible, amicable arrangements. But what if the divorce turns nasty? Salmond's already shown his spiteful side with his tuition fees policy and if the Scots give Westminster a bloody nose by voting for independence what's to stop the Tory/LibDem govt. replying in kind?

What will happen about immigration? If independent Scotland doesn't get accepted into the EU then will Scots have to apply for visas if they want to live/work down here? Will Scots already living here have to register as aliens and then apply for leave to remain? What about access to the NHS and benefits? Will the what's left of the UK government put other restrictions in place like they did with Bulgarians and Romanians?
Weird but I can't see any reason why it couldn't happen....

Rowan Pelling in today's Telegraph (11.12.13) towards the end of an opinion piece about drunk driving:
"......Only last year I found myself saying to a friend after a mile's snail-paced travel: "You're drunk aren't you?" Until then he had cloaked his inebriation expertly. "I am" he replied. "Would you care to take the wheel?" Since I wasn't insured, didn't know the area and didn't want to stand in a forest till dawn I left him to continue slowly.
Perhaps I should have shopped him to the police next morning, but where will the informing stop? Tell on your mates when they exceed the speed limit a bit? What's wrong with a scolding? In any case wasn't I just as culpable as my friend, and weren't we together taking a calculated risk of the sort exercised daily by those who cycle without helmets?"Yeah, right.........

How could I forget:
Doomsday
(badass heroine with eye patch - check, cannibals - check, reel-long car chase - check..... and best of all Malcolm McDowell holed up in a medieval castle with knights in armour. Bliss)
