Hi all, few more bits and bobs to clear out, as follows:
- Mixed Shimano Road Groupset. All the necessary components for a road build, including a pair of 165mm Falcon cranks (double). Shimano RS rear mech (used with 6-speed block) Shimano FE front and Shimano Tourney brakes, pads in great order. Mostly all in good shape, all worked well at the time of removal, so will just need a clean up. £50 posted.
- An old pair of road pedals, 1980's, rusty and in need of some restoration, bearings turn well but have play so will need a service. £7 posted
- Road saddle, pretty basic, good overall condition, one small tear in the left rear corner. A bitgrubby underneath but everything all works well. £7 posted
Thanks

Aye fair enough. I hate gloves personally and can't imagine building a wheel with them on. Too fiddly. Guess I'm lucky in the skin dept, have managed years of working at hairdressing and bike meching without needing them.
Workplace practice innit, one rash and that company's sued for £1Brazilian
...unless its the guy himself building the wheel, I don't know I really haven't paid any attention whatsoever embarrassed face

I notice most fixed bike conversions seem to have old skool pedals too. Would it be a sin if I put spd pedals on it? Or is there a practical reasoning behind it?
I'd say it shouldn't matter, it's your project after all. Pedals really depend on what you're comfortable with anyway, if you always use and prefer clipless (I know I do...) then they'll be suited to you on the Le Juene. Older parts do look great with the older frames but, again, it would depend on if you were wanting to side with form over function.

In order:
Where I'm heading
How strong this f&%$£**($ing headwind is
How the f$^£k is this headwind blasting me in every single direction I face
How long it's taken me to get there due to f^&$$king headwind
How long it's going to take me to get back...in this f%^&$$king headwind
I'm home, where's the beer and biscuits -
Touching a wheel in a crowded track race is always an ''Oh Shit'' moment, however, it's double this if you're carrying pace into the very top of one of Manchester's bankings, heading straight for a slowing rider peeling up right in front of you and pretty much ramming his rear Michelin
Heart fell through my arse.
