Also, 80mm rims, how do you get at the valve to inflate tubes? I've seen 80mm conti prestas, are there larger? or do you need somesort of extender bizzness?

Is the shimano caliper stuff you find on every online shop about 'Must be used in conjunction with #insert shimano levers# for correct leverage ratio' bollox or not? Will they work fine with any old cross lever?
