the work Biden has put into the economy will pay dividends for Trump.
This is almost the tragedy of the tale. He'll claim the credit and his ignorant public will buy it and ignore the other shit that he'll do because of it. It's something quite pervasive here too, mind - the public doesn't get just how long it takes for certain economic policy to wash through.

Ego? It seems most of what he does boils down to his own vanity at the moment. You don't get the mindless hero-worship to the same extent on the other side of the fence.
He can cosplay kingmaker with his ownership and control of the tw@tter algorithms. So he gets his influence/power without any accountability. He can also 'buy' favours with the GOP in a way he can't with the Democrats because they have, and Trump in particular has, a far more transactional MO - e.g. (and this is probably the tip of the iceberg) he gets promised tariffs on Chinese EVs which are set to boost Tesla.
Plus (and I think this is a big reason) their current narrative plays more to his own personal prejudices...
Just my thoughts viewing from the outside, not any definitive reasons. It's probably complete guff.
This afternoon?
Netanyahu will go all out very soon too, especially now he's fired Gallant and effectively now admitted he has no interest in the hostages.
