Just had a look- Rourke's site is shit!
That's hand built, not custom- there is a difference, although obviously not a huge one if your goals are met by the hand built frame.
Getting that Rourke frame drilled for Di2, 44mm head tube and an extended head tube would see the costs escalate pretty rapidly
Rourke frames not custom???
Of course they are - they measure you up for hours and every frame is built to your measurements - if that's not custom what is? -

Thought nemesis were tubulars only and that these "nemesis clinchers" are a version that wheelsmith make themselves or similar ? They offer a rim called nemesis clincher atleast. Bit strange.
John do you know more ? Looks like a nice bike btw if yours.
Yep - the rims you see are the Nemesis clincher - they are manafactured by Wheelsmith (or somone he knows) and sold - ususally as built wheels on his website. The counterweights are stamped as Ambrosio .
I bought this wheelset fully built (with record hubs) - they were from his showbike.
That's my 953 Rourke in the pic ;)Love this Serotta build BTW

on that pic is it his hair or the aero helmet?
certainly looks very aero ...
yep - aero hair.
Back in the good old days hardly anyone wore helmets - the bouffant hairstyles were enough protection.
Hairnets were invented to make sure that the hair didn't go into the rider's eyes which could have led to some nasty crashes (especially when doing a head down Time trial). -
From the website:
"We also know that frames in generic sizes are often (if not mostly) unhappy compromises for the end user, either resulting in discomfort, loss of power, or having to compensate with componentry (longer/shorter stem, offset seat pins etc..)"
I thought that was interesting as most of the talbot builds appear to have inline posts whereas other builders (Rourke especially) and Pegoretti for example favour the use of setback seatposts. (more power through the pedals and less weight through the bars?)The build does look great and the owner says it fits really well but it does look like the rider would be in a position that puts a lot of weight through the bars.
(not a criticism - just an observation!) -
